Thanks a lot JR. I've also enjoyed yours and you're truly and inspirational kinda guy. Really looking forward to meeting you. BTW - your build is also an inspiration. Winter project includes some of the engine mods you've done. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

OK

I figured i might as well get this done today>>>> not much else going on

I knew the minute i laid eyes on my red bike on the internet that it was something special and i had to have it...

and shortly thereafter by the grace of god and a little help from Google as I was looking for an answer to how to remove the lowers, i stumbled on to this place...

and it just happened to be a few weeks before the Cripple Creek Rally, which just happened to be outside my back door.

I am a huge believer in "everything happens for a reason" and i am so very glad that this thing happened to me for whatever reason........

This site and all the people on it mean a great deal to me....  yea sure, it is about the bikes and the riding...but it is also about so much more than that...

Naitram.... you are the daddy of something very special here and you should be awful proud of it

I would start to name other names here, and how they are a part of my life but i surely will forget someone and i dont want to insult anyone..

Thank you all for welcoming me into your homes, and accepting me as one of you...

a special thanks to the friend who give very generously just because they know me ( or anyone else ) from here.  especialy Squirell..  who made an offer im not sure i could ever bring myself to make... and loaned me his scoot for MV06.

i love having 2700 +new friends... most of whom i have yet to meet...

and the gang that I am closest with ( you know who you are)..we'll see you on the next ride!!

Scot, congrats on the 1000th post,  not bad at all for a guy that joined just before we all were in CC.

I must say you piled in with both feet, both with the CC event and on the site.  Its great to have met you and gotten into the wind.

I'm confused. I was perusing last 40 posts and saw a post from d00d on this thread that said contents of this thread moved HERE, so I clicked on it and that's what it said THERE, but there was nobody home and you couldn't leave a message ???????????

S'anyway Scot, not sure if you'll get this or not, d00d's got me chasin my tail. Each new post is a look into the person who puts it out on the site. In 1,000 posts, we've all gotten a pretty good look at you buddy and we like what we see. Stay out of the snow so you don't go blind and we'll see you out on the road again next spring.

Scott, I feel you are like the brother I wish I was in touch with.  I have one, but am not too much in touch with, but you are here every day when I come to visit. I did not realise that you were new to the site just before the Colorado GTG.  That was a trip that we were sorry we missed, but we had other family commitments that took prescidence.  Getting to meet you in MV was great, and Bill and Anne willing to lead a ride that I got to go on with you was so fantastic.  These little personal ventures at a time when so many folks get together really solidify the relationships.  So much so that I am trying to figure out how I can solo ride to Kansas City to do much less than share a steak with you, Bill, Don, Brian, Mark and a few others, only cause you mean that much to me.  I have not seen my blood brother but a a handful of times in the last thirty years, and am not trying that hard to rectify it.  Something strange in this relationship.  Not bad strange, but opening up that feeling of family to include the CVO family in that fold.  I can't wait to share steak, and get together in Nelson too.  Whoooooo, what a ride.  All over a couple of red CVO bikes, eh?
