Passenger floorboards on 09 SER?
« on: June 20, 2009, 12:54:23 AM »

Curious if anyone has replaced the passenger foot pegs with floorboards, and if so, what kind do you buy?  Thinking about using the current passenger foot pegs for highway pegs and replacing with floorboards.  But need something to compliment the overall bike.  Thanks.

What do the floorboards on the SERG look like?  Are they the same as the SEUC?  If they are, it may be an item that they will allow you to purchase for your bike, even though the floorboards are a protected item...since they aren't available for standard bikes.  If they are the same as the SEUC, the SEUC comes with matching passenger boards and that would obviously be the first choice...matching the fronts.  Somebody out there knows off hand if they are the same...that I'm sure of.  If you don't get someone chiming in with that answer, post a photo of your driver boards and then we can tell real quick.

Here's the info you are looking for along with pictures. Quite a number of SERG owners have installed passenger floorboards as it adds to the comfort level for the passenger. Anyhowm here you go: http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=28800.0;all

It didn't take you long to figure out that this forum will assist you in spending lots of money.  I think that I am done with everything except for installing one last item that's sitting on my garage shelf.  Famous last words.  Everytime I think I'm done, something else comes up on here that I have to get.  I really thought that I would change my air cleaner and exhaust on my bike and that would be it for this bike.  Not that I'm complaining though.  Part of the fun is accessorizing my bike.

That's some serious bling there.  I think I have run out of bling to add to the ride.  I just put on the chrome lower belt guard, chrome petcock cover, chrome inner primary, even the chrome cupholder, and I got my steel mesh speaker grilles too.  They don't make the chrome for the right side of the engine yet with the hydraulic clutch.  I added some chrome bolt covers on the front brakes.  There isn't much else I can find to do to it for now.  I had to start working on me, so I got the FXRG leather jacket.  But the best addition is my new BSR.  You don't even notice the bike with her on there. Yeah, I know...this thread is worthless without photos...check you e-mail...I may find one to send from our trip to the beach this past week.

I have been refusing to waste the money on those for a long time.  Maybe down the road, but for now, without the chrome pieces being made for the right side of the engine, I don't want to do those yet.  But to answer your question correctly, yes, you may suggest them.  ;D

I put the Kury boards on mine. Bought some chrome floorboard brackets off Ebay. The kury boards look almost exactly like the rider boards. Total investment about $400. T.

I also added the Kury floorboards.  Hales HD sells Kury 20% off.  Saved about $150 over piecing together the HD boards.  They are also about an inch longer and wider, which for some reason the girlfriend likes. :confused5:
