Hoppe Industries vents
« on: June 21, 2009, 12:13:40 AM »

Picked up a set of vents a while ago and finally got around to installing them.  Realy need to lower the temp behind the lowers without removing them, those speakers sound way too good

Good job Gordy.

Did you check and make sure that they won't contact the fender when they're open and the forks are compressed? It happened on some earlier models.  >:( Enjoy the new found breeze.

I have heard about the fender complaint but honestly it looks like tons of room even on compression.  Time will tell or is that "chit happens".  Yeah the toes are definetly cooler now-yahooo. :orange:

Gordy, a Hoppe rep told me once their vents didn't fit Road Glide lowers.  No elaboration or specific explanation as to why.  Just adament on the "won't fit."  Did you order a new or specific part number or just their standard kit?

Thanks Rich.  I didn't find a specific Road Glide mention on the Hoppe site.  Didn't look at others.  Here's a funny worth sharing.  One of thoses "gives you the warm fuzzies" kind of things.

Got curious about this again so emailed Hoppe last night asking, "Do your vents work in Road Glides also?"  The answer from their customer service was very reassuring.  Got it a couple hours ago and it said "No.  Our vents only work with Harleys."

Oops :huepfenlol2: .

Oh man, I hate it when someone tells me they aren't supposed to fit, especially after I installed the damned things.
Probably why I throw away the instructions after opening the box, more challenging that way. LOL ;D
