Idle Adjustment
« on: June 21, 2009, 12:17:01 PM »

Can anyone help with my idle adjustment? I have an 01' SERG and I need to readjust the idle. I did the adjustment about 6 months ago, but I have lost the directions and can't remember the steps. Any help would be much appreciated.

You've got one main hot idle adjustment.  Pull the air cleaner cover and filter.  Then (as you're facing the bike) you'll see a hole in the low right corner of the intake.  Through that is idle screw.

There's also a cold idle screw on the bellcrank.  Though you'll likely have no need to mess with that.  There's also a pair of mixture screws on the top center above the throat that are used to dial in the idle on the Marelli bikes also.  If they've never been messed with they'll be sealed over from the factory though.
