Don't like the look of the clamps, a more polished fitting would be better, JMO

Answer to a couple of your questions. Harley uses a barbed fitting, not a pipe fitting on the cooler so you have no choice other than a slip over hose with a screw clamp, could use pipe type on eng side, but his stuff uses same clamps on both ends.
Yes he does install this at his shop. Call him, not sure what he charges for the kit shipped vs installed. Highjagger if you can't install this kit, park your bike, if you are not capable of using a screwdriver, no business driving a bike or car.
If you have other questions, want to use screwed/finished connectors on engine side vs the screw clamps, want different color ends or whatever, call him. He will work with you, I was just passing along the info. I am satisfied with mine.

I think i could use a screwdriver , but i would do a oil change as well i guess , i think that the mechanics which learned their job could do this better .

High, I am pretty sure you can handle the hose changeover, really a 1-2-3 deal. Unbolt the cooler, lift if and use pliers to remove clamps from hose to cooler, then hose clamps to oil filter hsg. Remove hoses, throw away hoses, push new hose on, tighten clamps, wipe up small amount of oil that spilled, bolt cooler back down.
Then tell wife to look how special you are for doing a job that would have taken a trained tech an hour, and only took you 15 minutes.

No way.  You're removing hoses that are in good shape, you're installing new hoses & clamps in a different configuration.....seems pretty straight-forward, but what if....???  Wouldn't you like to have the back-up?  :confused5: spyder

I am more confident than that, I threw hoses in can as I removed them, they had residual oil in them. Trash to me.

you can get AN looking fittings from Summit Racing.  I am using them on the 5/16th fuel line crossover for my SERK.

They are a worm clamp with the AN looking fitting sitting over it, much cleaner then just clamps

You need to look at the photo again, AN Fittings over clamps is what I have, not just clamps. Don't have to go to Summit, every Murrays etc has them, here in Florida as does the guy who sells the line kits.

Look at photo again.

You will have to call for a price. I do not know what he is charging. I didn't even ask what he was charging, He made mine from scraps, yours would be new stuff.

Hmm. From what I have seen and heard, what you need is a couple lengths of 3/8 braided line. There are different finishes, so choose wisely Luke. the fittings would have to be like 3/8 NPT to 3/8 ID comp fitting. the hose can be cut easier than you think. Duct tape around the line to cut, dremel cut off. leave the duct tape till just before slidding collar to avoid fraying. take oil cooler off to install fittings and hose. bend and finagle hose to desired length, re-fenagle. slide down collar and viola'
seems too easy, so why haven't I done it yet. I think the secret to this is ROUTING

After giving this a little thought...

First, there's a reason why the MoCo didn't do this to begin with. Appearance, expense, durability? Who knows. For some reason they didn't.

Second, if we wanted our bikes to look like a race car, I, for one, would have bought a race car. I don't want my bike to look like something was added as an after thought. I want it finished and professional. These are, after all, Harley's top of the line motorcycles. That's not to say I haven't added a doo dad or two to "personalize" my ride, after all the P&A book is almost 2" thick for a reason. I just want it to look professional.

Hard 10, you have a different spin on things, why didn't the motor company do this?? Have you bought anything for your bike that the motor company didn't "authorize"? Sounds like from your statement if its not in that catalog you don't think much of it. Bet Drag Specialties hopes there are not a lot of folks like you around.

I guess you didn't read what I wrote.
I have added plenty of aftermarket parts to my bike as most on this site can attest.
I'm not trying to knock what you have done to your ride. It looks very nice and well done. I'm just wondering why the MoCO hasn't done it themselves or offered it as an accessory part already.
