Spring weather in the Smokies
« on: November 17, 2005, 09:43:05 PM »

Alright, I need a little help f/ you guys that live in this part of the world. A group of us from the great white north take a spring trip every year (cabin fever's pretty high by then). This year I suggested the Smokies, but our trip will be for 2 weeks @ the end of March. What's the weather like there @ that time of year?

Thanks in advance

What a wonderful time of year. Not too hot yet, but past the worst of the rainy spring time.  A large contingency of us CVOers met the last week in April this year and we found it a little soggy.  You will have a great time.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=cherry.gif]

Perfect choice!  Keep us posted on your plans.  There's a lot of us from the site that ride that area on a regular basis.  Might even meet up and buy you a beer!  You guys from Canada do drink beer, don't you???

Life's journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out shouting Holy Chit......... What a Ride!

Ya, we've got that reputation all right, well deserved in my case! I look forward to my trips south as I have a weakness for Coors Original, can't get it up here.

Have a great trip and be sure and bring clothing for rain and cold. Don't live there but used to make a trip down around Memorial Day for years. Alway hit the Smokies and Blue Ridge and never failed to hit rain and cold. We always had a ball and some good weather but always, always got wet  [smiley=vrolijk_1.gif]and generally shivered  [smiley=earmuffs.gif]to boot.
