Man, #5 for the Ultra?  They just can't go a year without that one in the line?  Must be a very profitable model for them.

They're not going to stop the cash cow.  I've found, in my travels, that just about every dealer I've visited, they have 1-2 SERGs on the floor, but none of them have an SEUC, and they can't get any...I guess that's why Fat Bastard can charge $44K for them and get that price.   :nixweiss:

I apologize for the quick follow up to my previous post but I have to say that I'm extremely happy if these CARB reports are correct in that there will NOT be a CVO Road Glide SERG4. That means the SERG3's will be a hot item - well in my mind anyway.

I hope you're right, but based on what I'm seeing on the showroom floors, they'll be offering them at a discount soon...the Road Glide is just not a popular model, hense that's why they're dropping it from the model line.   Now a Street Glide with the Road Glide rear end is going to be one sweet ride.   Hmmmm, wonder if all they're going to do is change the fairings on what would have been the '10 SERG... :nixweiss:

The 2000 road glides have not appreciated any, so it is in your mind only. You can buy a good example low mileage unit for 12- 15K triple red,
not a great investment and neither will the 2009's be.

We buy them because we want them, not because they will be a good investment.

they are terrible investments.

if you want an Orange and black 2009 they can be had for less than 30K brand new

Agreed, didn't buy mine for investment purposes - its not exclusive enough for that but if my memory serves me correct, the SERG3 is the only one time run of a CVO - they run in two's or three's but in the case of the Ultra fives. Whatever the case may be, I'm really happy that I got one and will Cherish it for at least 10 years or so. I also love seeing the original 2000 and 2001 SERG's and think there are special as I rarely see them around my neck of the woods.

The SEEG's are more exclusive... they only ran 2 years ('04/'05)... I'm just saying. :wiseguy: :D

If there is to be a FLHXSE it still will not be a SEEG. They would have to add lowers at minimum ('04/'05's both had them, and '05's had vented lowers), and a chopped TP ('05's). Even if they did that the designation would still be different FLHTCSE vs FLHXSE. :nixweiss:

So I guess a 05 Teal with a total production number of 693 makes it the rarest of all the SEEG's

The FLXXX is intriguing. As it is listed as the same weight as the Triglide, I wonder if it is going to be 2LN's Servicar? I can see him now selling ice cream for the back of it.  ;D

As for the FLHTCUSE⁵, while disappointing as an owner, it's not surprising. This bike is their "top of the line" motorcycle with the biggest markup. It just makes business sense in thses economic times to get as much as you can.

BTW, Golden Isle has a FLHTCUSE⁴ Ruby Red on the floor.
