Now that at least a few of these are starting to be replaced it begs the question: Is anyone still being screwed with, delayed, or otherwise not absolutely sure they'll be completed to their satisfaction?

Mine are on order Don, since before CC, so I think I'll check on where and when they will come, seems to me the pieces have been trickling in but I figured I'd ride with their stuff through the summer.  I certainly won't take a chance on puting it in the shop for them to screw something up before Canuck, Geezerglide, BT, igofar, Big Al and I meet up in Kelowna/Nelson mid August.

I'll let everyone know what I find out, most likely Tuesday since they still close the shop on Mondays.

I have been only "Promised" new bags so far.  The comittment was to compare them to the old before ordering all the new stuff.  Sheesh, 3 months so far, then at least 3 more until its resolved.... >:(

I guess its better than ...NO!

I was originally told only new bags...back in May.  As of Friday, I have all new paint on the way...for the multi-color pieces anyway...  I am hoping to have them after mv...not paing much attention to my current paint... ;D

 :)

Getting closer...checked with my dealer last week.  Front fairing, side covers are in....waiting for the gas tank, rear lower saddle bags and front fender.

A little concerned that this stuff is coming in piece meal...is it all still being painted at different places?

Had top of right saddle bag replaced already....

Hope all works or we may have to do it all over again.

I called the dealer again today, still no news from them, so I called MoCo, I was asurred that I will be taken care of, there is no statue of limitations here, or changes of my claim, other than, everything is taking longer than they originally planned. SE_Ultra....congrats. Thats great news for you and all of us holding out hope the paint will look like its supposed too.

I have no doubt that all the paint issues will be fixed. It is taking a very long time, I don't think they are taking any chances by rushing and they are also in the mddle of trying to paint up all the 2007's. There is no way the MoCo can not fix all the bikes now. The have esablished a practice, and admitted that the issue exsists. If they fix one, they have to fix them all. I have not heard the MoCo balking at thins idea. Every time I have talked to them they seem to be willing to work with everyone. I think it will just take time, just do not let them forget about you. I was the squeaky wheel....I got mine done....how well do you squeek?

Talked to customer service aparrently my dealer already has some of my new painted parts. They didn't order them all so John at customer service had them order the rest of the striped parts. When they will arrive who knows?

Well, Im back to square one, The dealership (McQuires)_was under the impression that MoCo was just sending the parts, MoCo was under the impression that BOB DRONS HD, who I will never let near my bike, simply cause they are liars, cheats, incompetent complete morons, were ordering the parts for me. So ,

So I had to have My secretary call The MoCo's secretary who would then call McQuires HD's secretary , who in turn will call my secretary back to confirm that MoCo's secretary did in fact get it straight this time. This is getting rediculous.

So Im assumming that I will not get my painted parts by the June 1st 2006 promise date. But dont hold me to that....I'll Have to check with my secretary first.

Looks like Im 2 months away from new paint now. At least.

Yep, Just got a call from Nancy at McQuires....she spoke with John from MoCo, she said I have an open work order for paint warranty , and told me if after all the new striped parts are put on, if Im not happy with the look of the remaining original parts, then they are ok to replace those too, but most likely , It will take 6-8 weeks to get in the parts. so winter it is. I will be coming up on a year of ownership of this bike by the time they get me corrected, Im really curious to see how well the new paint matches the lids and back fender.

Well talked to the motor co. today after 2hrs on hold and being hung up on twice.  Seems that my claim # has been changed from a paint issue to a cold runablity issue. [smiley=nixweiss.gif] Guy said that there was only a mention of milky paint.  Sounds like it's back to square one return bike to dealer for a refund. >:(

Better news today John Selenski from HD called me to say he had made a mistake (nice jester) and that I was in deed recieving a new front fender, outer fairing, tank, side covers and saddle bag lowers.  But that it would probably be another 8-12 week for the parts.  Guess time will tell again.
