So here I was, so happy that all the new bags and tank matched each other.....on close inspection, I see that the bags and tank really do look GREAT! I mean they shine! So much so that they make the fairing and front fender look dull. So I called the MoCo, who called my dealer, and new inner fairing, new outer fairing and new front fender are all on thier way!  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
[smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] This is some great news.  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Well,

Its now 9 Weeks later and I had the new bags installed today.  They look GREAT!! [smiley=jalapeno.gif]

The dealer agreed about the improvement and will order the rest of the parts on Monday.  3 more months and all will be good again.  Ordered the spoiler bag lights and they will take about the same time to get here.

Met a fella there with the same bike as mine, he picked up about 4 weeks ago.  It was a beautiful NC sunny day and his paint was PERFECT!  See, they got it right before the end of the model.

I told him about the site and he said someone had given him a card at Sturgis.  Hope he joins us.  He and his brother both bought identical 06 eagles!

I guess I should not have doubted MoCo was going to take care of me.  They always have in the past. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Well at least you know they are coming.  After seeing how good they made the back look it will be worth the wait.

I used to walk by and look at the darn things and be upset about it, now I just walk by and SMILE! :)

Went to my dealer this week. They had one bag in. We checked it out and IT MATCHES the rest of my bike...YEAH!!!! [smiley=banana.gif] I guess I was one of the lucky ones, the other painted parts of my bike were okay. It was just the bags that were different....

So, all of my new painted parts are in, sort of. Dropped it off at the dealer yesterday for its’ 5k service and to have the new painted pieces installed. When they opened the boxes they found two left saddle bags and a tank without any emblems. So, how's it been working for those of you who have gotten new parts, did your tank come with new emblems or did they have to remove the old ones to install on the new tank? Dealer was not happy at all with the MoCo and is trying to get it all resolved. They also agreed with me that the outer fairing paint is bad and did order that today.

Let me know what you guys have experienced with the tank. So far I have a new front fender and one new saddle bag. Wonder how that will look, one milky bag and one black bag? Boy, there's fodder for some jokes. I'll keep you posted.

The good thing is the MoCo is stepping to the plate to take care of the problem. They just seem to be having a little problem getting there.

Man I would hate to be the one to try to get that emblem off without bending it up.  [smiley=nervous.gif]

Its one of the details on the 06 Ultra I really like.  Nothing else like it that I've seen.

Has anyone ever seen that emblem used on any other model?

Here's a shot of what the tank looks like without emblems. Dealer ordered the emblems and they should arrive in a week or so. Interesting look but I like it better with them. I think they are some of the best looking emblems I've seen.....
