mike, those are pretty sharp, gonna have to research those

Scroll the the bottom of this page, and you'll get the three options for the SERG: http://www.headwinds.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=headwinds01&Product_Code=2-2434CAP&Category_Code=

The ones above are the Maraih and have the "visor" over the top of the housing.

Then there are the vampires:

and the Concourse (which there is no picture of...   :nixweiss: )

At $500, it is another thing that ain't cheap... but they appear to be pretty sturdy... and they do look much cleaner than the Kury model, which has a lot going on.

Can't seem to find any info from anyone who's actually got them installed though...

Been debating what to buy as far as extra lights to help see and be seen.
The Motolights like MikeyTee has on his bike are at the top of the list.
One ride with MikeyTee and I was impressed.
I like the placement because they really stand out.
I like the light because it can be adjusted and are very bright.
And I like the warranty that Motolights give.
I think they will make a great Christmas present for the SEUC.
Ho, Ho, Ho!

Big Lew,
The lights have a lot of up / down adjustment, but limited on side t side when mounted on the caliper. They light up ahead of you and have good side coverage.
I can ride at night with my headlights covered and can see very well.
Anyone riding in front of you at night will adjust their mirrors to get the bright light out of their vision!  :)
I like the way they work in the day as it really helps in being seen!
I run them day and night.
Expensive? Yes!    Worth the price? Absolutely!!!

Thanks Mikey!

The motolights in chrome, with the braided cables and 50w bulbs are gonna run more than the Headwinds lights. I've been around the LD riding community for awhile, and the motolights have an outstanding reputation; there is no question they are quality lights. But there are some on here that have stated they are primarily beneficial in daytime visibility, and the light pattern they throw doesn't really make that much of a difference at night. I'd say MIKEYTEE's statement about those riding in front of you needing to adjust their mirrors shows that is true,

Based on price, wanting something that is more in line with the flow of the bike, and performance, I am leaning towards the Headwinds lights... but need to find more feedback from those who actually have them... which seems to be few folks. There seem to be more who have the Kury's (because of lower price?), but I like the smooth, clean look of the Headwinds lights over the Kury's.

But ask me again tomorrow, and I'll probably have changed my mind again.  :huepfenjump3:

Larry,

Did you ever hear back from them? Still need to figure out what I'm going to go with. I al strongly leaning towards these... but haven't bought them yet. Might be one of those things I put off for awhile.
