Need a Klock Werks shield (or 2!).  Thinking I want to go with their taller shield 10.5 inch.  Being that tall of a shield, I am hesitant to go tint - concerned about night time visibility as I'll need to look "through" a shield this tall.  I like the look of the shorter shield, but it probably will not provide the wind protection I am looking for (6'1" tall - all torso with 32" legs).

The concept of the Klockwerks shield is specifically for the rider to look over the shield, and not through. The shape directs the airflow in a way to keep the rider out of most of the wind, despite using a shorter windshield. In my mind, the rider must always be able to look over the shield, it is safer and works better e.g. in the rain. Therefore the Klockwerks are a good solution.

Ride safely,
Louis

I have a 10.5 Klock Werks on my Ultra. I look through it and always preferred looking through mostly for protection purposes.

I am 5' 7" FYI

Here is the only thing you may not like.......Reflection from your dash (bounces up) I think because the shield is a couple inches closer to the rider. I am fine with it.

I am not very good with Pictures, but if you give me till the end of the day I will do my best to post one for you.

I thought the concept of the Klockwerks was to throw the wind a few inches higher (by design) and to create a downforce on the Batwing instead of the inherent lift at high speeds????

I have pics on page 13 of my post '09 CUSE without tour-pak. It is an 8.5", dark tint shield. I am 6'0 and consider this the perfect height, especially when I have the stock seat on. With the solo seat I am looking through the shield due to the lower seat height. Actually, I am thinking about going with the 3.5" when I put on the solo seat.

@DickW
I run a similar bike, also with Progressive's 11.5", and use the 6.5" Klockwerks looking over the shield. I find that a very good solution. And yes, it creates a downforce on the fairing, but my priority is the fact that it direct the airflow higher, so that I can be more comfortable but still look OVER the windshield.

Ride safely,
Louis
