i've always envisioned a small vest like you use on the water, with a lanyard attached to bike, powered by co2. when the cord is pulled it would encapsulate you in a protective layer. :drink:

I think it's a good idea. People laughed when they put seat belts on cars. They laughed when they put airbags on cars. They laughed when they put ABS on bikes. Anything that may keep a rider alive is a good thing. i know there are inherent risks to motorcycling but maybe with some of those choices we can minimize some of the risks. And the NUMBER ONE killer of motorcyclists is someone violating your right of way at an interesection. Maybe an airbag and an airvest may help. Would I make them MANDATORY? No, but like a bullet proof vest it's a nice option to have. Probably lower your insurance rates too.
