2009 CVO Engine versus 2007 ?
« on: July 08, 2009, 09:42:34 AM »

Gents:

Somone asked if the 2009 (CVO not offered in RK lineup) had the recall fixes in it.   I couldnt find an answer.   For those that got your engines replaced, do the new ones come with all the recalls already done ?   Seems that once the recall parts are installed (0906) its the same engine as the original.  I was curious ...?

Two Wheels, if you read the information that H-D sent out on the "Enhancement" (not a recall) program, you will find that they were replacing parts on the earlier bikes with the parts that were already incorporated in current production.  So yes, the current production bikes already have the updated parts.  The next question should be, are those updated parts the real and complete answer to the problems?  That one remains to be answered, as only time will tell.
