Fullsac in Connecticut?
« on: July 14, 2009, 07:53:42 AM »

I live in southeastern Connecticut.  Does anybody have the fullsac baffles in or near southeastern Connecticut on a 110" engine that I could actually hear on the bike?  It seems after much research that this is the way to go, but I am always hesitant to make a purchase on pipes prior to hearing them.  The last pipe that I really liked was my White Bros. 2 into 1 E-series on my '01 95 inch FLHTCUI.  Please let me know if this is a possibility.

Hdctss,

Can't get you a live version but a lot of research was done early on.  Look at this thread:  Fullsac 2" Cores

Jim Kerr posted some video clips of the fullsacs with a db meter.  Reply #13 let's you hear a comparison from stock to 1.75 fullsacs and no cat.  I went with the 2 inchers and can say the sound is deep and strong but not too loud.  Hope this helps.

Good day, yes I have the 2" on my 09 SERG that you would be more than welcome to listen to. I'm in East Hampton, Ct. So far I like the sound and performance, more than likely this winter I will send the pipe out to remove the baffle and have coated.

thanks,  I no longer have the cat and was thinking that the two inch baffle may be the best compromise,  I had heard the 1.75 on the posting without the cats and it seemed to me to not be quite as deep as the 2.25, although much quieter.  there are some youtube videos available that are pretty decent, although the 2.25" video is not really that helpful as it has too much music and not enough muffler for me.

If you check fullsac's posts, they ran all three baffles through the dyno and the 1.75 and 2.0 inchers are very close, the 2.0's being best for power.  The 2.25 gives up a few hp and foot pounds.

You might want to read this thread:  Muffler core Dyno Test! 2.25 vs 2.0 vs 1.75. Is bigger better?
