Hey ya'll Just wondering if anyone has had cracked blade wheels yet on the 09 serg. I'm taking mine today to be checked. Also I noticed a decilleration shake in my front end at 38mph. I talked to a friend of mine who also has a 09 serg and he has the same shake. Come to find out the neck bearings were out of adjustment and were extremly loose. My front end swung 9 times, when anything over 2 is considered to loose. So if anyone has this problem with front end shimmy check your neck bearings......Ride safe.........................Doug

Mine is on the recall list.. Last Friday my dealer had not received the recall from Harley and they would not
schedule my bike for the check until they get it... I have a trip planned and really don't want to go until they check the wheel... Does anyone know if Harley has put it out to the dealers as of today 7-21-09..

Scotty, yes the Dealers have the info to do the inspection mine was done today and the Service manager said he had got the info from the MOCO this morning.

I love that yellow bike you have. I tried to buy a yellow one at my local dealer
but saved three grand by going to Oregon and buying the orange..

Dammit, I avoid the board for a couple months because my bike is back in the states and I won't see it again until December, and come back to this... guess I'll have time to see how it all pans out before I get to ride mine again.

I got a recall notice yesterday - but it was on the rear wheel only.  Something about "certain Blade rear wheels going under a secondary heat process". What did your dealer find on your bike?

Blessed 1 My wheel was inspected and the the rear wheel was fine.The Recall is for the rear wheel only.

Orange is a good second choice

It's a real hassle at my local dealer to get anything done, bought my bike out of state due to availablity so they kind of put me at the bottom of the list for service.. Does anyone know where the cracks might be on the rear wheel or what to look for?

I would think your local dealer would get you right in as it is a pretty serious recall. All they have to do is
pull the wheel & tire and check for codes on the rim.. Mine had the recall but the codes checked clear. Took them
about a hour to check it...

Dropped my Yellow SERG off Sunday.  Just got word today I have a bad wheel.  They ordered the new one today, said they will know in a day or two how long it will take to get new wheel.  Not long I hope.  I have a trip planned Aug 21-28.  By the way, the service guy showed me the recall code info on the dealer h-net.  On the inside of the wheel in the middle of the code. a bad wheel will have a "R1" or "R2".  Will keep you posted on progress.
