I am having similar issues, but mine works for a few min and hear a pop and lose all speakers.

switch speaker switch back and forth and it comes back on quickly but not for long.

I think radio is going have to be replaced.

we have seen some issues with some components on the audio circuit being sensitive to vibration. In alot of these cases, the radios mounting bracket is actually broken. Whoever removes or replaces the radio needs to take a really good look at those brackets. Iron Cross Audio, as part of our repair service, installs a vibration mod to prevent this from happening to any unit we repair.

just turned on the radio, worked fine for about a min. then small pop, nothing, still plays through headset, even if the power is turned off and you turn on the ignition or acc. it makes that one pop

What have you done to get the radio fixed?  Have they replaced it under warranty?

Mine turned out to be a bad amp (under tour pac) :2vrolijk_21:

Wrong

It was the radio that needed to be replaced

radio has output that has bad solder joints

throws code as shorted speakers

It is the radio

I had same issue with my 08. They replaced radio under warranty but i actually did the work. Shop manager told me it was a common problem with early 08 models. The replacement seems to sound better/louder than the original. The replacement was also a refurbished unit, but it works good,,  :2vrolijk_21:

Annoying but at least they replaced it.

Yesterday my horn stopped working, found one of the wires came out of the plug – just poor quality in my opinion.

They replaced mine too.  And then a year later, they replaced it again.  Now I'm into the extended warrenty and it'll cost me $50 if it happens again.  Unless I can convince them that it's the same problem, never correctly resolved. Right...

How did you know it's a refurbished unit?

I'm about to have mine replaced and would have never thought to ask.

The Service Manager told me 'off the get go' it was refurbished, and you can tell by normal wear marks etc. on the back/outside chassis. They do replace all of the front covers, so at least the face plate that you look at in the dash looks new  :2vrolijk_21: The mere fact it works good and better then the original makes me happy.
