I have always thought that "Roll Me Away" was the best riding song around.  Just my opinion of course.

Seger has alsways been one of my favorites, and Roll Me Away is one of my favorites by him.

Coolest thing....yesterday I was headed to my new job location. During my three hour ride through the Saudi Arabia dessert I listened and day dreamed about riding when I get back home. ( My Rig is located 70 kilometers from Iraq and 220 from Kuwait in the Persian Gulf. It is not bad....as long as the days go fast. At least I will have Bob to listen to. Next time I will bring my camera and take some pictures.

I have " LIVE BULLET " loaded in the Electra glide right now. Never get tired of Seger's music. He understands our mindset better than any artist out there.

I bought Seger´s "greatest hits" last year during my route 66 trip. Now the music of him is a must whenever i ride my bike.
He is the best musician for biking.

Off shore drilling rig? 

I am sitting on a Spar production/drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico right now.  Some time in Oct I am transfering to a New Build Drill ship.

I just transfered from the Mexico decision. I spent the last five years out of Del Carmen Mexico. The food is better here. I am still getting used to the Culture thing. It is Romanian right now so everything is diffrent. I will get used to the change. As long as I can make a living.

Are  you on a 28 day rotation?  That is what I will be doing while the drill ship is being built.  Then around June when it gets into the gulf it will be a 21 day rotation.

I am sure it is a whole lot different than Mexico.  I will stay in this line of work as long as I can.  I really like the time off.  It's also a pretty good living

I have worked 28/28 for the last four and a half years. Now I am starting 35/35 but this one will be more like 40 before I get to come home which is 2 days travel. They tell me I will be home for 28 and then come back and work 42 to get everybody on the correct rotation. Also doing that will put me home for Christmas. Which is really cool. And the money is worth the extra time. I get paid a day rate and it starts from when I arrive and leave. All in all its good.

Sounds great.  Looks like I will be head back to the ship 2 days before Christmas this year.
