According to what I hear the 2010's will be in short supply through the rest of the year ..obviously dealers will get a few but I talked to Bubba Boswell in Nashville Tn and he told me he was only getting 34 new bikes for the entire first phase (Aug-Oct) and 7 of those were Sportsters...and I heard Harley laid off 1000 workers this week and there would be a minimum of 30% in reduction on new bikes this year ...as for the discounts I relly dont think its the dealers as much as it is the MoCo ...their MAP policy will not allow a dealer to advertise any kind of discount on new bikes ...

Was at Mitchells H-D here in Modesto, Calif they told me that there 2010's are due in starting next week. and that there first SESG will be a Tequilla Sunrise. Oh! dam do I need four CVO's

I just arrived at my buddies house here in Sacramento after leaving Rooster's place Monday. When do they plan to have them uncrated and on display. I would be interested in having a look at them.

Rooster asked me the same thing Monday before I left his place, I got 46,000 on it now and I'm in Sacramento, still got to get back east. But, the motor actually only has about 22,000 on it, I think the neck bearings need to be replaced at 50K, rear brakes I replaced at Roosters house, front rotors where replaced for the 4th time at Salem HD last week under warranty. Front pads where replaced 12K ago so they should last another 10K I think. All and all the bike runs really good down the road, motor has no problems running all day even in 90+ degree like today coming from Redding to Sacramento when you feel the heat from the road coming up and making your handle grips warm to touch and the air from the cars you pass feels like a blast furnace. It was a scorcher today.

My dealer received 29 new 2010's on Monday including a SESG in Spiced Rum. I don't see that as short supply or delayed delivery.

Eagles nest in Lathrop had a SESG,SEUC,UClimited, and a few others. The SEUC in red and slate with flames was my choice, I liked it ALOT. Time to cock the trigger.

I got a call from Jon (Jonga) yesterday, telling me "I'm standing here looking at the 2010 CVOs and the Ultra Classic Limited.  Eagle's Nest HD on I-5 in Lathrop, Calif. is supposed to be the largest volumne dealership in Cali.  I already knew that they're open till 9:00 p.m. so as soon as work was over Terrie and I grabbed the camera and jumped in the truck and headed south.

Went into the store and asked "where's the 2010 CVOs?".  The guy said "go outside around the back.....they're all out there".  We shoot out the door and walk around back (it's a big building so it was a jaunt) to see about twelve of the pallets scattered all over the parking lot.  Too late......already had them all locked up in the service dept. (which means they'll all be on the floor today).

Wait........it looks like there's one still crated up over against that wall.  We walk over and open the inspection hole cut in the front end of the carboard box.........it's the rum colored SE Street Glide.  I stuck the camera in the hole and tried to get a couple of pics.  I'll post tonight.  Let me just say that just like all their CVO colors........it looked much nicer in person than any pictures I've saw of it.

Jon's been given the assignement of going back today with a camera and getting photos of all of them from every angle!

American Harley Davidson in Ann Arbor Michigan received 12 2010 models yesterday including a CVO Fatbob,Streetglide and Ultra. They are 1 of 3 Michigan dealers that still have an 09 SERG O/B on the floor.

HD of Charlotte got 20 2010's in today.

Will take the camera and see if any are CVO's.
