I see the '04 SEEG is still the only year with two colors on the lowers.

My 05 has two colors on the lowers.  They're a two toned red/bug gut.

The dealer I was at yesterday said they received a complete truckload of 2010's already and they haven't uncrated any of them yet.  I was told that they were hoping to thin out what's on the floor a little before they start showing the 2010's.  Fortunately for them, they are a high volume dealer and not everybody is up to speed like we are on this forum.  None of my friends knew anything about the 2010's coming out yet, or at least no until I told them.  There are lots of people around the world that are regulars on the different internet forums, but the majority are not, and those people are the ones that will still buy a 2009 without a thought that the 2010's are sitting in the back of the building.

Barring specific insight to the contrary most wouldn't think to expect 2010 models here in barely the middle of 2009.  My old 2000 Road Glide has a build date of 09/00.  The continuing trend of ever earlier release gimmickry will continue until a given "year model" will already be over before its calendar year actually begins.

You mean just like the January magazines to be pushed out a week before xmas?

Separately: I think a dealer not placing the 2010's he has on the floor is simply pushing customers to the competition. A Harley is not something you throw into the cart just before the drugstore checkout, without thinking and discussing and re-thinking. Specifically in these times.
