Copperhead Lodge is closed

Today after calling Copperhead and getting a recording that their number was disconnected, I did a search to see if anyone had announced their closing.  I didn't see a topic on it, so I sent Julie an email to ask if there was availability next weekend and decided it must just be a fluke.  It's not a fluke.  She replied this afternoon:

What was it???? Lack of customers? Was it because of price, location, exclusivity????

It appeared to me that they bit off WAAAY more than they can chew! Had a ton of $$$ into the place. I couldn't see that drumming up enough business to pay for itself. If they were counting on Time Sharing the cabins, it didn't happen. And just renting the rooms in the lodge didn't seem to be enough to cut it! Seemed they were a lil over-optimistic with their plans, just when the economy tanked! I'd bet the bank owns it now! ;)

Anyone know what happened to the place. I saw that it was auctioned early last fall and was just wondering what ended up happening to it.
