Looking good and thanks for an updated post.  This is a great add to our bikes and many have gone before you.

This thread if you haven't seen it covers a lot of other ideas as well as ways to hide the wiring etc.

Great shots of the blinker set up, you must have a quick trigger finger and camera.

I ordered an LED light bar from Custom Dynamics.  http://www.customdynamics.com/ on Monday.  Tech called on Tuesday to confirm my order and clear up a question I had when ordering.  Wanted an LED that would blink half & half, brake light, & running light.  Decided to order a Custom Array - total length of LED strip 14.1" with 6.6" of lights on each side.  Chose the red outer tube for the LEDs, since the bike is red.  It arrived on Thursday. Great service - very pleased with the company/product.

Thanks for the comments Oto & Rjob.  Turned out better than expected as to visibility - main reason for adding.

Camera works great - digital.

Did a search and could not find this thread, but remembered seeing it somewhere.  Thanks Fired00d.

I just installed my led light.  I just want to say a big THANK YOU to all that posted here.  I want to especially THANK Rjob749, hard10, magicl10, TCnBham, & Tbone for all the time taking and posting pictures and sharing your install information and tips.  I love the way the light looks and the safety it will provide.  It is really bright!  I would not have done this mod without this site and without all the information here.  You guys made it so easy right down to the part numbers.  I will get some pictures posted soon.

Thanks Again!!!  T MAC  :2vrolijk_21:

Busted!

Ok, Big Dave caught me. I made a mista...(I can't say it)

Blue is running, orange is brake, black is ground.

You'll need the part that converts the two red and black wires coming off the light to orange, blue & black.

Does this make more sense? Double click on the picture to blow it up.

Good catch you two.  As T Mac said it is a great add and we have all done it collaboratively as we went along.

It's what the site is all about, helping improve our bikes and drain our wallets :2vrolijk_21:

AJ,
Now I'm confused.  I've studied your picture and I don't see two red wires coming off the LED.  Where did you put the second red wire??
Cheers :2vrolijk_21:,

Big thanks to all in this thread who posted pics of their LED install - great help when I decided to add an LED to the tour pack.

Even though I searched and for some reason could not locate this thread prior to the install.

RD, on AJ's LED, it appears there is only 1 red and 1 black wire.

Unless I missed something. :nixweiss:

 there is only one red wire.

2 wires from LED = red & black. Part from Custom Dynamics has 1 wire (to hook up to red on LED) on 1 side and 2 wires (red to red / orange to blue) on the other. The instruction sheet from Custom Dynamics says (look at this sheet & you'll understand) to attach red wire to brake orange wire to running. Wire on bike is blue = running, orange = brake.
