Harley driver sought in two road rage incidents
« on: July 25, 2009, 08:49:51 AM »

Madison, WI / The Capital Times-

Is there a Harley road rager on the loose on East Washington Avenue?

Madison police are looking into that possibility after a second incident of road rage was reported within a week, the alleged instigator being a man riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

This time, the Harley rider punched out a driver’s side window Sunday night after following the victim’s car closely, then demanding the driver roll his window down after he pulled over, while calling him a “tough guy.” The incident took place at about 10:26 p.m. Sunday in the 2600 block of East Washington Avenue.

Five days earlier, on July 14, a Harley rider on East Washington Avenue tore the mirror off and kicked a dent in a car after being asked a question by a passenger in the car.

In the incident last Sunday, a 35-year-old Madison man was driving on East Washington Avenue when the motorcycle rider pulled up behind. “He pulled over to let him by,” said police spokesman Joel DeSpain. “The victim followed the motorcycle and when it appeared the motorcycle was making a right turn, he passed by, only to have the biker get back on his tail again.”

The driver pulled over a second time, and the biker rolled up to his door to confront the driver, according to police.

The Harley rider was described as a white man in his 30s, 6 feet tall and about 200 pounds. The Harley rider from the July 14 incident also was a white man in his 30s but was described as weighing closer to 240 pounds.

Somethin tells me that maybe those drivers almost hit the biker, and he wanted to "get their attention".
