I actually liked the new bikes ,the cvo street glide looked sweet with the new front wheel. I could do without the flame stripping on the fairing but maybe that is one of those things that you have to see in person..

You are right there---they always look better on the showroom floor or outside in the sun for that matter.
Rob

Granted to paint may look better in person, but for me thant really isn't enough to razz me up over the new bikes.

Wow - I was hugely disappointed in the CVO paint jobs.  The worst is the CVO Fat Bob...a blue bike with orange flames and a distressed brown leather seat.  Seriously?  I do like the Fat Bob in the Pewter/Sandstorm; at least it kind of goes with the seat.  The colors on the other bikes (save the Softail Convertible) are...uninspired.  I also hate the eagle head graphic on the Street Glide.  It looks like a severed head on a stick.  What the heck were they thinking?
Also, I wish that they had done the Softail Converible last year.  I just added a windscreen, saddle bags and a billet brake and shift lever to my '09 Springer.  Also, I wish my Springer had footboards instead of pegs (I have pretty short legs and the pegs/foot controls are just about at the end of a comfortable reach for me).  I'd consider trading the Springer in on the new Convertible if I didn't think I would take a bath on the trade-in.  Or, maybe I'll just install footboards...... ::)

Agree with previous posts...glad i bought a 09 SE Ultra. 2010 Street Glide is a real letdown.

Personally, I think all the new colors are BUTT UGLY.
Maybe 2011 will be the time to buy a new one!

Just saw three of the 2010 bikes at the Harley shop.

A Ultra Limited
a good looking bike.
JCZ will like the wheels, they are like the 09's cept chromed and black, a good looking wheel.
Overall a good looking bike.

A Dyna Wide Glide in black
a minimalistic approach, nice details.
a great looking bike.

A 2010 Street Glide.
Am I the only one that missed that there is no taillight?
I like the look of the 2 into 1
But where is the rear taillight?

Saw 4 of the new SE's at my dealer today being uncrated and set up. Have to admit they look better in person. Liked the Fat Bob in black with the realistic flames. Liked the exhaust and the seat, but I am a fan of brown leather (not a kinky fan, just a fan). Saw the Softail convertable in Blue, looked OK but didn't have the windshield on yet. Saw the Street Glide in Spiced Rum and it looked better than the photos I have seen and saw the Ultra Classic in Scarlet Red Pearl. I'm not a big fan of the touring bikes so my opinion isn't worth diddly on them but I would say most of you will be happier with the bike in person than you were with the photos.

The bike I liked the best was the FLTRX - it had the shade shifting paint on it and looked pretty wild as you walked around the bike.

No photos allowed at this point (not that I didn't ask).

I'm just guessing......the SESG taillight is incorporated into the led fender-filler strip lights with turn signals, parking lights, vanity lights and nite-nite lights.  :lolk: har!  spyder

Ohhhhh, trick 'hidden' taillights.  Must be some new dupont paint that's translucent or something that allows the led's to shine thru.......Or maybe you'd been drinking earlier than usual today when you perused them.   :drink: HAR!  spyder

I must say after waiting since its introduction for a CVO Street Glide , I'm dissapointed in the way in turned out.  I really don't see anything in the 2010 lineup that would make me want to trade in. I'm glad they brought the Wide Glide back, but it doesn't look as good .

Oh well , perhaps if the economy turns around they can come up with something better next year.

nidan - agree on the wide glide. Nice to have it back but a WG without a boat tail fender just isn't a WG.
