I have 1.75" Fulsace baffles in my 09 SERG slip-ons, I wrapped 2 yards of Woven Roving Fiberglass insulation around each baffle. 1st wrap , a full yard going clockwise using a piece same length as the baffle and tied with fiberglass strand, second wrap with 6 inch section cut off the first wrap when it was cut to length of the baffle going counterclockwise and once again securing with f/g strands from the edge of the mat, third wrap a full yard in length the same length as the baffle wrapped clockwise again and once again secured tightly with f/g strands. Very nice sound, no rattle or tinney sound from the cans. Bought the f/g mat from local marine surplus for $4.00 / running yard. Wrapped each layer very tightly and when finished "wound" the whole thing back inside the factory insulation/wire mesh. Did a buddies Reinharts and they sound much better than before, not sure the Reinharts on his otherwise stock 04 Electra Glide isn't the best sounding stock harley I ever heard. Main thing to remember is that woven roving is not the compressed "insulation" looking stuff sold online, it is a high quality criss/cross stand product that is used in manufacture of hi-end boat hulls. This is a two man job, unless you have three hands, hard to wrap tightly and tie at the same time otherwise. When complete the muffler bodies are completely full of insulation/baffle and run very cool.
And sorry, before anyone asks, no photos.
