Not a virgin anymore!
« on: July 27, 2009, 03:48:46 PM »

Took the bike into the shop today for the 2009 SERG rear wheel recall. On my way home road crews were mowing the grass on the side of the road and shot a stone at me. Hit the fairing about an 1 1/2" under the windshield. It's very small but it did go beyond the clearcoat. Has anyone had to deal with chips and if so, how did your touch go?

Thanks!

I took a huge rock on the freeway that hit my front fender(Thank God) and put a good ding in the fender.I ordered touch -up paint from Harley and probably should have used aerodynamic seal(Bondo) but just touched it up and pressed on 34,000 miles more. Never fails that it happens when you first get the bike!!

Whether a private or public road crew, they're responsible.  Have a pro do it and make a claim against the crews owner.  Take pics!

I made Harley replace my Batwing because of a flaw...they did and a week later a rock hit it pretty good.
So much for that right?

It is what it is.....I hate it but when the bugs are all over it you don't even notice it :):):):)

I had a powerline crew working over my bike drop a tool on the tank. It put a barely noticible mark on it but I am making them replace the tank anyway. Thats bound to jinks me for sure.
