Thanks for all the ideas gang!

TODAY'S UPDATE:
What might cause this? Always look at the simplest things first! So not wanting to just change parts until it got fixed, Artie wanted to know EXACTLY what was wrong with it. So he went thru the things he wanted to check, one by one. The HD Tech checked the ECM the other night and it was fine. So Artie today went thru troubleshooting the problem today. No, not a sensor! No, not the TSM! No, not any of the electronics, or related to the faulty gas gauge! What was it you ask?
A BAD SPARK PLUG WIRE!!!

I suspected that when changing the plugs helped it the first time it F'd up! I picked up new plugs and SE WIRES while in Binghamton, but didn't wann lift the damn tank and change em on the road! DOPEY f$%*! Stop being so damn lazy!!!I'm glad it was something that simple though and not gremlins in the electrical system!!!

There seems to be some discomboobulation regarding the HD P/N for the SERK sending unit. They think we keep getting the wrong one as they pulled one from another SERK and it appears to be different from the one ordered from the SERK Parts Manual. They told me they have the 2 to show me the difference with, and they special ordered the other one from HD. But I'll let them go thru this routine since nothing else has been able to get this gauge working again. Maybe they're on to something. We shall see!

The primary's making some noise Vern says. Not surprised as I know the clutch was going. I have the new Rivera ProClutch sitting there to be put into Cybil anyway! So he's pulling the primary cover on Mon to see what's making the noise in there. He'll change the clutch at that point anyway, and resolve anything else that he might find in there. But we suspect it's just the clutch, so no harm, no foul there. At least I hope so anyway!

Hoist!
