2010 O2 Sensors...what do we know?
« on: July 31, 2009, 12:32:25 PM »

What do we know about the new (right?) O2 sensors on the 2010 CVOs?
And, what does that do to our exhaust options?

MoCo moved the bung location for 2010 (from 2009) and made the O2 sensor threads smaller. Based on my conversation with a V&H tech today, the 2009 headers will only work on a 2009 bike and the 2010's will only work on 2010 bikes.

Agreed, the PDF is good reading.
Also here's the p/n's for the sensors:
27809-10 Front

The new sensors also have a one time use crush washer that HAS to be replaced if sensor is removed in reinstalled...I will research the P/N# for those ASAP

I wonder if all the headers have cat converters in them now ?

Doc,
FWIW, the sensor p/n expanded descriptions show:
27729-10 SENSOR, oxygen (O2), rear, w/ 11936, 72344-10, 72444-07GY ALL
& 73307-10

27809-10 SENSOR, oxygen (O2), front, w/ 11936, 72177-07BK, 72344-10 ALL
& 73307-10

I'm thinking the 11936 possibly the replacement gasket??
The 70000 series p/n's being the connectors.
I've got two of each of the sensors ordered. Due to arrive NLT 15 Aug.
Parts Manuals on the way too...more info and pics then.

Wonder how the voltage range compares to the older sensors. A wider voltage range would enable more closed loop bias adjustment.

The O2 sensor voltage is the same as prior years, it only adds a heater to the mix.
