I'm Posting CVOrider's dyno sheet for him. He came by my place on Saturday after picking his bike up from Freedom Cycles for the Hawg-Wired setup and a LED install . I'll let him post what they did, but here's the dyno sheet.....

Jim, how come you didn't post this in the SEEG dyno thread?

Again, the numbers look pretty nice however, it's not SAE corrected (smoothed) and the A/F numbers are too high.  JMHO. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Hey JIM, THANKS for posting the dyno sheet.Also love the Hawg-Wired & LEDs [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] AS for everything that Brad at Freedom Cycles I know that he did some head work,pistons,cam,freedom pipes not sure on everything he did it's all TOP SECRET!. I can say the bike does have a lot more pep also extremely smooth in the acceleration. The bike is running really well, just hope it stays that way stay tuned. Jim,if you talk to Brad and he gives you more information about the work he did on the bike, feel free to add to the tread, very happy with the setup you installed can definetly hear the music over the freedom pipes. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]would definetly reccomend to anyone who is thinking about the Hawg-Wired set up, it works great! just my 2 cents. Thanks again Jim

Hey 2lane, hd-dude, and others.  You make me a bit jealous with discussion of great techs who can tune your bikes, etc.  I don't trust the local HD dealer, have heard many bad reports.  Know of any reputable shops in VA with SEEG experience tuning with a different set of pipes, tuner, etc?

I have the 2005 SE and would love to see pics of the different pipes and testimonies of their sounds and performance.

Thanks!!

Hog, I'm actually very lucky because there is a very good guy who spends a lot of time on the road but who lives less than a mile from me.  So when the dyno isn't travelling from rally site to rally site he's here.

The guy I'm talking about is called Rolling Thunder Dyno; his name is John Golden.  During the season he's all over the east.  Finding him might be an option for you.  He is a Power Commander tuner.

Hogfn,  I strongly reccomend running as fast as your little feet can run from any of the HD shops in our area if tuning is what you are looking for.  There are some out there that have other strengths, but we have not heard of any of them being even satisfactory for tuning.  I know it is a bit of a hike for you, but just a bit south of Richmond, VA is a guy named John Meade who owns a shop called ProStreetCycles and he has tuned both my bike and my husband's bike extremely well.  He really specializes in the more expensive kind of go fast bikes, but he has a dynotune and he is good.  He has a website at www.prostreetcycles.net.  His number is 804-271-7766.  John Golden that Twolanerider reccomends goes to some of the local rallies so you can also try him out, but for us, we wanted someone we could go to for all of our service type of work, and John Mead is good to us.  Tell him Candy Ryan sent you to him.  He has the map he has made for our SEEGs and for an '03 CVO RK as well.  He prefers to dial in on the PC.  I have the Vance and Hines Pro Pipe and my husband has the DD Fat Cat two into one.  My husband never posted his dyno sheet, but it is right beside me and he ended up with  MaxPower 102.63 and Max Tourque 103.59.

Hogfn;
If you like the Freedom setup you can get it complete including a "mapped" power commander.
Just install it and go. Since I was close to them I made a trip to them to have them tweak every last bit out of mine. They were able to get another HP and FtLb of tq. No seat of the pants difference. This way you can save the dyno $'s for more chrome [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

Hogfn,  Took you a long time to get around to talking to us, but we are glad you are here.  Welcome to the site.  You'll love it here.

My numbers are posted under the dyno tuning thread;

Quote
I had a little misfortune which made me go out and get some good fortune.

Look at the posts from DCFireman.  He lives just in Maryland.  He reccomends Zippers.  PJ57 goes all the way to the Carolinas to get his bike tuned.  Firedood says he reccomends the Staunton dealership, but he never mentioned tuning.  And there is a wrencher at the Orange HD shop named Steve that I would reccomend using, but in comparison to John, I would get John to do any tuning.  John was an instrucor in Arizona for HD mechanics. He is very, very good.

johnnymap, not sure which dealer you're referring to, but I'm going to have mine done at Americam Eagle in Corinth. Don't know them, never been there either, but I bought my bike at their sister store and AE does all the dyno work. I did call and talk to them though, and liked what I heard. Said they spend 4 to 6 hours on each build/set-up and are getting similar numbers w/rineharts that are commonly posted here.  100/100  If you're close to Richland hills, check out Piper Performance and ask for Cliff.  He does RT and PC.

GC, that is the dealer that did mine.  They did not get anywhere 100/100.  They  got 91.5/98.  I have a true dual setup using the Fulsac pieces and modified stock mufflers.  Put the Kerker K-3 baffles in. I like the dealership and have never had any problem with their work. I am not complaining but was just wondering if there might be someone better.

I do know that they do not like Rinehart systems.  They have had a lot of problems with the system, like a lot of people, and have had no luck dealing with Rinehart.  I have a set on my RK with 18,000+ miles and have had no problems at all.  I would like to find out how your numbers turn out.

Good luck.

johhny, I got the impression they don't like true duals of any kind. When I talked to them, they told me a story of a CUSE that had V&H ovals and the customer brought it in to install V&H true duals and re-dyno. They claimed it lost about 10 hp and tq. Told me that they didn't even try to do any tuning, they just took the true duals back off. That kinda scared me. I'm worried that if they don't like TD's, they won't put forth the effort to tune it. I saw a post on the V-Twin forum that said if you're using a SERT, you can us the map for the SE Fatboy and because the FB has duals, it works pretty good. I'm commited to let them do the initial tune as it was a throw in on the price of a RT, but if I'm not happy, I'll be in the same boat as you. May be calling Piper.

I realize it's a good distance from both of you, but Mancuso in Houston did my work for many years.  Great work and they have the performance history to backup their suggestions.  Just a thought.

I would be just as worried as you about taking any bike there. Good thing its a throw in with the RT so your not throwing any more $$$$$ away then you have to
