Cams For 110
« on: August 03, 2009, 12:23:27 PM »

Any thoughts on these specs for bolt in cams, only mods would be cat free with Fullsacs and tuner.

Intake   Open  15        Close  35      .575 lift   230 duration  100LC   22 degree overlap   105.5 LSA
Ex.      Open   49       Close  7         .560 lift  236 duration   111LC

These cams have  shorter seat timing , fast ramp speed ( very slow initial opening then very fast  on the ramp up, to stop reversion, then a slow closing, to build more port velocity, which will give more cylinder filling.

Looking at the duration, etc, it looks like a cam that would come in early then taper off in the higher RPM range.  Would be real nice for a touring bike

AJ,

Not for me this time.  Looks like a Cycle Rama cam based on specs and the following post.

Wouldn't mind hearing more feedback though on the cam.

They will all bolt in but the cam needs for the 110" is very different than the 96. This has to do with native head flows when comparing the castings, not so much the displacement increase.
