alcantara seat material discontinued?

Anybody notice the alcantara seat material used on '09 FXDFSE was not continued or expanded to other models? Could this mean the material is not all it was cracked up to be?

Is that the official name of the suede-like material?  :confused5:  That was a cool looking seat. :coolblue:  Supposedly water-resistant and other great attibutes.  har!   :drink:spyder

Alcantara is great stuff. It is an option for seat material in Mercedes Benz cars, and is also used on the seats of some MV Agusta motorcycles.

I love my alcantara. It is oh soooo soft.  No problems to report here.
