Illuminated Windshield Molding
« on: August 03, 2009, 11:15:45 PM »

I have been trying to install the Illuminated Windshield Molding, on my 2009 Street Glide. I thought this would be a simple task, however the instructions are a bit confusings. Hopefully, someone can enlighten me.

Thanks in advance!

Follow the instructions to the tee, you will not have a problem. Drilling the hole in the fairing is simple but must be done in the way the instructions tell you to do it, the rest is all plug and play, fairly simple. Read and re read if not sure, its all there in the instructions. If its over your head to do, take it somewhere that can do it for you.   Doc

Did you get them on yet?  I Installed them on my '03 Ultra last year.  The instructions suck!  I pulled out half my hair trying to figure them out but finally got it.  Looks to me like Harley doesn't want you to do your own installation...

I'm fond of Kuryakyn products, because you can download the installation instructions before you buy.  I wish HD let you do that.  There's a few I would not have purchased.  Maybe some I was afraid to tangle with.  Aslo, the deler never gives you the install sheets when they install upgrades.

i do all my own.
