Look moderately cool.  Really don't gain anything with them though.

If you go with the Hypercharger keep your eye on the filter element. I've actually seen holes in the filter from the "ram Air affect".  Sand, road grit ect. actually blast holes in the air filter after a period of time. The two holes direct the air in a tight flow pattern to the filter & at highway speeds can create a sandblasting affect. The hypercharger looks cool, but depending on where you do most of your riding, there might be better choices.

Take care,

Grover

yup, [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] i use to rotate mine every once in a while so it would get even abuse! [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] and then replace it when you catch a small rock at just the right trajectory.

Two different racing types I know have said they saw no gain whatsoever in performance and had some increased internal wear on tear downs they said was attributed to the Hyper Charger. They ended up going with Arlen Ness set up. I have not really seen any controlled testing results, just the usual marketing blitz.
Hey, give it a try but watch the element closely as far as maintenance.

I think you'll get as much air with a plain open element and a K&N. And no moving parts. I personally dont like them cause they remind me of something in a JC whitney catalogue. If being done for looks alone....beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Have never seen one included in a parts list for a performance build.

Kuryakyn smuryakin...  what ya really want, (just admit it), is a Wimmer Velocity stack.  It's not in the way of your knee like a regular air cleaner, nothing beats the hot look, everytime you ride in the rain it cleans all the carbon off your valves, much better crankcase scavenging with the included crank case vents, and all for a low low price!  Here's a picture for you.

As a matter of fact, I'll sell you this remarkable air cleaner for the low low price of $18,000, and I'll throw in a really fast softail to sweeten the deal!

Try this... Remove your air cleaner cover and just put the Screamin Eagle trim ring back on. That's what I did to my '04 SEEG. In my opinion; it looks pretty cool and gives cooler fresh air to the motor and a few xtra hp.

CoolBreeze.....but would you put the Wimmer UltraSucker on your SEEG???  Does the Wimmer get enough air for a 103 with stage 2 done on it ??

Nobody mentioned the rattle that the hypercharger develops after is gets some miles on it. I leased a Soft tail when we went out West last year. The doors hyper charger rattled constantly, and got to be pretty annoying...

I ran a Hyper charger on my 99 Fatboy. No real gains or problems with it. So I guess I really have nothing to add. Oh well .Later,Q [smiley=nixweiss.gif]
