The 103 comes with the stock 96 cams, same as police bikes and trikes. Hope this helps

that is not what i was thinking it would be but then its not a suprise..  thought they would have used the 255 cam in that motor..  the 9.7 compression is also for factory is also a suprise.    seems a bit differant.   figured the heads may be something a bit differant also

do they have stock 96 heads?

im thinking that they are the same as part 27539-08

essentially the same as the old 95" kit. stock cams, heads, just more displacement.

hmm, i wonder what the se 10 dyno charts will show

I believe that Harley would just use the drive train they already have in the trike, etc. Why go through the hassle  with R&D and EPA when you already have something on the shelf to just "bolt in" and sell more units??
Just makes business sense to me, but, what do I know?? LOL
Dyno charts will change according to what they think the customer will believe, you can manipulate numbers to say just about what you want. like comparing apples to apples, instead  to oranges. Compare dyno charts to current 2010MY to get a closer comparison.
JMO, as usual.

so whats new??   been like that  since dyno's made their appearance.   but that didn't answer the question  without some  facts and so far none have been provided so far..   know as much now as previous to the question. so i guess we will assume for now.

When you put the same head on a larger cylinder, the compression ratio automatically increases.  Overly simplified, cylinder swept volume divided by head volume equals compression ratio.  If they had used the SE103 heads with the 95cc combustion chambers, the ratio would have actually dropped to 8.9:1.  So without seeing the actual parts, it appears that this 103 conversion is nothing more than the old TC88 to 95 conversion, bigger jugs and pistons.  Picks up 10 ft-lb at the crankshaft just due to the increased displacement and compression.

I do not have access to the 2010MY details yet, as I am on the road.
Best guess at this time, would be that the 103 engine specs will be the same as the trike.
Once someone has the printout, we will see, but, this would seem logical.
There are some running changes from 2009MY to 2010MY, but, just minor things at this point.
I believe the bikes are at the dealers now, and, the dealers have the parts books. Best thing to look at for cams, etc. are the part # changes from one year to the next....but, remember, some #'s are just running changes.
Maybe someone at the dealers can shed some light on this subject??

The heads are the same as OE 96 but they are fitted with ACR solenoids, if they are the same as police.

I don't recall, but, are not the trikes fitted with ACR's???? I think I read somewhere that that's true?
Guess I'll have to "bone up" a little when I get back to civilization! LOL

Been wondering this myself.  Pipes seem to be the same as on a 96" Glide, which would indicate they have the old 103" Stage I since it used the stock mufflers, Stage II with the 255 cams came with a different set of mufflers.  But the TQ/HP numbers seem to indicate the 255 cam......be interesting to know which it is for sure.

Have not seen any HP numbers but they claim  105 TQ. Can you say what the  HP ##'s are. have to guess around 80-82  but never know..

Thought I saw HP, guess I didn't, only shows TQ at 102.....that is more what I was basing it on anyways, the 255 cams in the 103" motor were said to make alot of TQ but run outta steam quick, like around 5K.....I had the stock cams in my 103" for the longest time, switched it over to the 253's that came on the older CVO 103" and I'm much happier.
