Put about 12,000 on this year, but we only ride from around March to November.  5000 of that was to Yellowstone and back this summer.  Rode around 8,000 last year.  I'd ride even more-especially long trips, if I had enough time.

All I can, but not like years gone by!  Even though my miles in the saddle are fewer now, they are more enjoyable and fullfilling.  The trees are greener, the stars are brighter, my fingernails are cleaner, my jeans are clean, my paperwork is in order, my permit is not revoked, I have a "Permit to Carry", and when the "Man" pulls me over, I don't have to worry about him asking me, "How much have you had to drink tonight, Mr. Hubbard?"  It's all Good!  Just glad I lived through all that chit!  And what little bit of it I get to do, Man, I LIVE for it!  Ride Hard, Ride Safe, Ride to Ride Again!  There endeth the lesson!  Later--HUBBARD

Very well put, Hub.  I think that riding is more of a passion for some of us than others.  It's always been an 'addiction' for me and somehow I've managed the rest of my life around it.  Lots of times it creates problems for others, but always seems to be worth the hassle, huh?  We all refer to it as our therapy, yet, it's the disease too.  I don't claim to understand it all, but just know that I can't seem to live w/o riding.  I'm puttin' between 15 and 20K miles a year now......and wanting to ride more.  Don't use my boat at all......but that's another story.  I wish the poll at the top of this thread had another column........seems that over 45 per cent of the responders indicated that they rode more than 8K miles, but I just wonder what per centage of those rode over twice that amount....like over 16K miles per year.   [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  spyder

As much as I can, never enough, when ever possible, less the last few years as I have been growing my business - This hopefully will lead to much more riding in the future. These past few years about 3-4k, prior to that 12k or so. I too will say that I easily do more on the bike than in the cars and have for many years.

Poll's been updated with more choices.  You can hit the "remove vote" icon in the lower-right corner of the poll, then re-cast your vote accordingly.

Also moved from SERK section to CVO General for more visibility.

I bought my SEEG in oct 04 and has about 11,000 miles on her.
In July 05 this year I bought an Ultra and it has a littlte over 10,000 on it in 5 months.I average somewhere around 19,000 to 20,000 miles a year.
A lot more miles than I could on the PanHead or the 72 FLH.
I get to ride more now than wrenching.

It's fair to say we have about an 8 month riding season in Northern Ohio. One that I stretch as much as I can. Last couple of years I spend at least one winter month in Florida . I ride 10,000 to 12,000 miles per year

Living in the stateline area of No. Illinois, our riding season ranges from 7 to 8 Mo. I ride 11K to 15K per yr. Longest trip to date was Sturgis '05 I used 2 days both ways riding 2-up with wife. I found that a good seat makes the difference between getting numb and getting sore. Numbness fades with a break, but soreness increases in intesity as the miles pass. I could and would ride more but I have to work and sleep. Some day I hope to retire and move to a year round riding climate.  8-)

Average is probably 10,000 a year.  (I do work ya know.)
Got a really nice '94 Chevy pickup... only 52,000 miles on it.

2000 was probably the highest mileage year, about 18,000, but that included my trip to Sturgis.  Left Phoenix and went to SD by way of Dallas and Green Bay.  Then on the way home I figured I had time to see some friends in Seattle.... (all in 3 week on my '98 Road King.)

I put 15000 miles on my 05 SEEG this year.  15,000 fantastic miles.  15,000 fun time miles.

Now, I believe I would have had a smidge more if my poor bike had not had to sleep at some dealership for approximately 87 days during this year, having something or other replaced, fixed under warrantly.  I thank my lucky stars that at least the repairs where covered under warranty. Right now everything seems to be running right and I am awaiting the arrival of a painted front fender to replace the one the shop dinged up, then my bike will be all better.  Ah!  That sounds so good to say.   ;D :D ;)
