Just came back from Ocean Pkwy ride this morning. On the south bound Medowbrook Pkwy (LI,NY) they are stopping ALL motorcycles and issuing tickets for ant exhaust that is not factory installed plus whatever else thay can give you a ticket for. My buddy got one and was told he must install stock exhaust back on bike and get it signed off by a PO and go to court. I was lucky and took the Wantaugh pkwy today.
Just though I would post for those that are heading to Ocean Pkwy today.

what would the do to someone from out of state?  what about custom built bikes?

Would be all over that in court, that is crap.

Chit! Thanks for the heads up. I was out there yesterday too. Met up with Mike at Cedar Beach to check out his new '10 Concord SG! Lucky I took the Wantagh too! LI SUCKS!!! Almost as bad as Jersey!!!

The 50's-70's were pretty much like that most places, not just the beaches.  Then Honda gave us all a better rep. and it's been smooth sailing for the past few decades.  Myrtle Beach and now this.....I'm hoping this isn't some change of love for us bike riders.  har!  spyder

Hoist I saw your friend Mike there this afternoon ...His bike looks sharp. We were talking bout Fullsac redoing our mufflers just so we would have the stamp on them...His business could REALLY pick up if they continue this here. I know ABATE got Suffolk County to stop motorcycle only stops on the LIE because they weren't stopping cars too. They haven't had one in a couple years to my knowledge.

Why is it when the cops target blacks, muslims, hispanics, etc, it's profiling, but it's OK to target bikers.  This is bullchit!

The 2010 Screaming Eagle catalog has a series of 2:1 and 2:2 slip on mufflers that appear to be the tunable Supper Traps. They have the EPA 50 State stamps. These may be a viable option.. Can't wait to hear feedback on these.  From looking at the pictures they look like the Mega's
