Tour Pak Bra ???
« on: December 02, 2005, 08:11:28 AM »

Can anyone explain this new accessory to me?  I understand a "bra" on the front end of a car, but I have never seen one on the deck lid.  Is there a need for this that I am unaware of?

I can understand the covers for saddlebags because they are meant to prevent scuffmarks from boots/shoes when boarding bike. Now for the bra/cover on tour pak is that to prevent scuffmarks also?  [smiley=confused5.gif] How does a person’s boots/shoes get up that high to mark the tour pak?  ;) Sounds a little kinky to me.  :o

Bra's should not allowed be on bikes at all (on the bike itself, riders or passengers)[smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

I guess H-D is just really into the "leather on the tour-pak" look, lately.  I'm still trying to adjust to the leather tour-pak of the SEUC, and now they come along with this.  [smiley=nixweiss.gif] [smiley=confused5.gif]

Just wondering what any of you think of the leather tour pack. I still can't get into that one.

Yes, I know what this is for. The local H-D shop offered it to me after they installed a lid luggage rack on my SEEG backwards (up turn end facing front of bike). They tried to turn it around but found the template for the legs were different on each end. First they tried to sell me on 4 large stainless star washers, then this leather lid bra. Finally, they saw it my wy and replaced the lid and installed the rack correctly. Only took a couple of months.

I don't want to hurt any SEUC owner's feelings, but I personally do not like the exterior at all.  Somehow it reminds me of a leather football helmet from the Bronco Nagurski era.  On the other hand, the new latch and the interior trim are nice.  One good thing, you can't see it while you're riding.

No chit! Great description! Problem is, one of buddy's is always in front of me and I have been looking at it for about 2,000 miles. Now everytime I see it I will think of your "Bronco Nagurski" description. LOLOLOL
