The seat is too narrow for my girl to ride (and she does not have a big a$#).

So I'm looking at seat options, and Harley has none.

I've heard bad things about some of the after market seats not fitting right.

So I've been looking at getting my seat reupolstered by alligator bob, but a need a seat that fits the bike and is appropriate for my needs.

So my question to you all
                                         1. Have you all replaced seat
                                         2. Are you satisfied with them.
3 how did you purchase from
                                         4 has anyone reupholstered
                                         5 who did your work.

thanks.

My wife refused to ride another mile on the original. I spent 9 months checking my seat options. Waiting for Corbin or Mustang to make a seat to fit the bike. To my Knowledge, they still don't. Also looked at any sissy bar other than Harley detach. In the end, I went with Sundowner seat and Harley detach sissy bar. The wife is very pleased and the comfort for me is a little better as well. I just got back from 14 day 5000 mile trip to the East coast and my a** was never sore. Some days were 500 miles or more. I have no regrets with the Sundowner. It is a fine seat. The quality is much better than the stock seat. :)

--->  SUNDOWNER SEAT!!! <---  2nd Best decision on bike, bike being the 1st Best decision! I also have the removable MedLow backrest and curved luggage rack for BSR. I kept the old seat for bar hopping, but... I like the studs on this particular model of the Sundowner.

there are not many stock seats that would appear suitable for long distance BSR comfort, many after market take away frpm the looks of the bike, solution u need 2 seats.

Did the seat move you forward in your riding position?

I don't think they make a seat to fit the 09 FXSTSSE3?

The sundowner on the 09 moves me up and forward. How much I can't say. I do notice my knees are more bent with my feet on the pegs and I rest a little further up on my ankle when I stretch out on top of the pegs.

I am looking for a seat for my FXSTSSE3.  I am going to customize a seat, but I want to have an extra available.  If anyone knows where i can find one maybe damaged or one that is not being used.  A new seat is $400-$500 and limited available as we all have seen.  I am not looking to spend so much.

Just had my original seat replaced yesterday, their was a  "4" (looked just like a 4) on the front tip 3 inches square, looked like someone wrote on the foam with a junkyard parts marker (thick not an ink) and my buffalo center lost its color to a white on the edges. I tried my damdest to barter the old seat had the same Idea of a customization but they said out of all the licensed and protected parts this was #1 no,no and never heard a word I said after that, as a matter of fact as i was asking hard I looked over and the seat was gone, almost like I was going to try and run the fxxx off with it that was funny as hell!!! Good luck findin 1 !!
