CVO OCD
« on: December 02, 2005, 11:58:19 AM »

Custom Vehicle Operations - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

In CVO-OCD, it is as though the brain gets stuck on a particular thought or urge and just can't let go. People with CVO-OCD often say the symptoms feel like a case of mental hiccups that won't go away. They can't help but picture all sorts of shiney things adorning what becomes their most prized possession.  They frequently have a glazed look in their eye on a sunny day... from behind a window.  Agitation frequently occurs when more than one person wants to go with them and what was simply going to be a 3 hour trip to the corner store for cigarettes has turned in to a 10 minute trip for candy and soda and Lotto and milk and bread and lunch meat and yogurt and a women's magazine describing "the latest break through dieting sure to help you lose 500 lbs and impress your man". eh-hm... I digressed.

CVO-OCD is a medical brain disorder that causes problems in information processing. It is not your fault or the result of a "weak" or unstable personality.  It is not your fault that theirs is more shiney or faster or newer... Well, maybe it is... if you had put the time and effort and money in to your scoot, maybe things would be different... better.  Be strong... there is hope.

So, seeing as how I fit the description, I thought I may feel better if I knew I wasn't alone and thought we could all list our symptoms.  Here's a few more:

- You see a hot babe near a hot bike and you wish she would move so you can see what kind of pipes those are on the bike.

- Your snoring pattern changes from zzzzzzz to potatopotatopotatopotatopotato.

- You spend more time on this board than you do on your job.

- You spend more time on this board than you do with your family.

- You spend more time on this board than you do with your family or your job.

- You get the shakes when you get near an HD Dealership.

- At Christmas (or anyother time), you don't dream of sugar and spice and everything nice, you dream of cams and pistons and chrome for your bikes!

I thought this was just a symptom of old age.  Maybe I've got OCD too.  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]
