2010 FLTRX Observation
« on: August 22, 2009, 02:58:28 AM »

I dont know if anyone else noticed the lower fairing brackets on the 2010 FLTRX are canted inwards and appear to allow room to mount vented lowers... Sorry, I didnt snap a pic, but I was looking at both the 2010 FLTRX and the new 2010 Ultra limited and dimension wise the lowers appear to fit...

You are correct, I checked that out also. The vented-lowers are the ones spec'd in the '10 HD Parts and Acc book. Can't wait to see a Scarlet FLTRX fully dressed out w/ TPAK, lowers, put a set of those new HD Extended bags on the bike....WOW that would be nice Hot Rod Bagger !!

I can't remember exactly what the factory did, but I read that the fairing on the FLTRX was tilted 2 or 3 degrees nose down now, which raises the back part of the fairing up.  That may be what gave the clearance to mount the lowers now.   :nixweiss:

Based on what Harley did, I expect a 2011 Roadglide. What's your thoughts?

2011 Roadglide what?  Screamin Eagle?  Don't think so.  There's still 09 SERGs sitting on the dealer floors.  Wasn't a very popular bike, at least out here it wasn't.   Another standard Road Glide?  Sure and they'll do the limited run factory paint jobs like what was shown in a previous post.  But IMO you won't see a SERG again for quite awhile.  Based on the initial sales of the SESG, I think you'll see a 2011 version of that though.  JMO.

What I meant to say was Tourglide.... With them changing the fairing, and leaving
more room for the vented lowers.
