Cycle City in Honolulu has an Orange/Silver 08 Ultra and a Silver/Black 09 on the floor... across the aisle is a 2009 SERG in Silver/Titanium

I'd hate to see what it would cost to have one shipped from Honolulu to Buffalo.

As stated,  the Limited has the proven 103. Either way you'll still have one CVO. Personally, I'd try to find a used '09. In this economy, I'm sure your dealer will be willing to work to find you a used one. This would obviously be a win win as it appears you are happy with your current dealer. Remember, you can always go to HD's website to check other dealer's inventory (under "used" motorcycles) and have your dealer get it shipped and handle all the paperwork and or financing.

I very much disagree with your statement above.

The 2010 103 may share a similar bore and stroke as our beloved 2003 103", 2004 103", 2005 103" and the 2006 103" but that's it.
The 2010 103 is no where near the motor the older ones are.
Ask ANY motor guy and you will get the same response.
The twin cam changed substantially in 2007 and it wasn't for the better!

I never claimed it is a Screamin Eagle 103. It is however the same engine that my father has in the FLHTCUTG. There are vast differences in the SE engine and this one. Many of the "standard" parts "not needed" have been removed to cut costs. No disagreement here.

To me buy the 2010 cvo ultra and trade both bikes.

Once you own it you won't ride anything else anyway.

I love my 09 USE but I think you run a risk with someones used bike, besides the 10 has a better 5th gear and power outlet in the trunk.
Go with the ??burnt amber/citrus orange?? one, that looks good in the pics.

Owning 1 is cheaper than owning 2.

I know that you were aware of that, but I posted what I did just to let those that didn't know.

I don't want anyone thinking a 2010 103 in any Motor Company product is the same as the earlier QUALITY BUILT 103's!

Nothing cuts the wind like the fixed fairing of a Road Glide.  If you're up for serious touring, and making a change anyway, take a RG up to 75 & set the cruise before you make your final decision.  You can always add a tour pak and whatever else you want to the Road Glide.

Ultra or Road Glide, without question the new frame makes all the difference.

I decided to get a 2010 Ultra, ride it stock for a while, then do my own 103 rather than the motor company's version.

As other said so well , the new frame is worth changing for.

Ok, looking at this a little closer, a FLHTK will set you back $25K++. A used '09 SEUC is going to run you in the neighborhood of $31K+. So there is a substantial difference in price. With that said, I may have second thoughts and go brand new and get the Limited.

Not me young man! I'm talking about spending someone else's money.  :huepfenlol2: I'm perfectly content with my SEUC². First year with the 110", second of only two years with a leather TP, and I've finally gotten it broken in the way I want.  :huepfenlol2:

While my saddle time on an 09 frame is limited, I do not feel the frame alone is worth changing scoots. I have been on two 09 SERG and a 09 RG for a combined 100 miles. The frame is nice in the corners which is good, stays on line very easily. But the seat height is not to my liking. What do I know, I love my SERK4.

I'd have to agree here. I spent 1100 miles on a standard 2009 Road Glide. While the larger frame was noticeable, I don't think it justifies an upgrade. Now I did NOT ride an '09 or newer Ultra (standard or CVO). All I can compare is the '09 RG to my SEUC². I'll stay with the Ultra.
