Just got the word - total knee replacement in 10 days - doctor says I will not be able to ride for 4-months (he rides too) and can't seem to justify taking delivery of the Tequila just so it can sit.

>>> Adamec HD, Jacksonville, FL - Ship Date: October 9th - contact Chad Hixson at (904)424-4276<<<<

Also, may be another Tequila available at Jim's HD in St. Petersburg, FL - ship date of October 23 with - contact Mike Smith (727)527.9672.

If you would - tell 'em Drew sent you.

Very sad I had to walk (pun intended) on my FLHXSE deal ... but will be up and running (pun intended) and back in the Tequila-buying-game come first of the year.

Best to those who pick up these deals.

I'm not sure that CVOStreetglide is to far off the mark. It took me 8 weeks to find the CVO that I wanted and it's only going to get harder. What incentive to have this baby setting in the garage just waiting for the therapy to be over. So before you give away the farm just rethink everything through. Just my .02

Yep ---- $595 over MSRP (but they'll deliver!????). If the Tequila is still available at Jim's HD, it'll be at MSRP.

I've already got a Street Glide ('06) that will be receiving much admiration and polish during my recovery - just can't see spending the $35K to let the Tequila sit in my garage for 3 - 4 months or more (I hope I'm back on the road by then). When my health is right, I'll find a deal that is right too.

Thanks for starting this thread BTW - it's been really helpful to me and I'm sure to others as well  :2vrolijk_21:

Best.

You could just pretend that you live in PA like me.  I bought my 09 in 11/08 and it took until March to get most of the upgrades completed.  You could get everything ready to go except the 1000 miles break in before a dynotune.  That's how we get through the winter up north...doing upgrades.

Drew:

$595 over list....thats a whole lot better than a few years ago. I was betting $2--$4k over at least.

Good luck on the surgery!!!

I had both knees orthoscopically done a few years aback and I was riding in a week. Hey, it's kinda like sitting in a chair only outside in the wind..

Regards

Black Diamond HD in Marion IL has a blue 2010 SESG.  I did not stop in and ask price.  They are very aggressive, so you may get a deal.  They also have an '09 SERG sitting there in orange.  Give them a ring and talk to Shad Zimbro, he is the owner.  Really great guy.

Ben Breece Harley-Davidson in Ottawa, OH. has a 2010 (FLSTSE) Softail Convertible in Inferno Orange / Vivid black @ MSRP coming in sometime in December. It's listed on there wab site under there future inventory. This is a great HD Dealership to work with and I that first hand because I have a 2010 SEUC coming in from them next month. He never charges Setup or Delivery, now thats not something a lot of dealers do. Give Bernie (owner) a call at 419-523-4274 or there web site www.benbreecehd.com  :2vrolijk_21:

Red & Slate Ultra at Zylstra HD in St. Charles, IL as of Tuesday.  MSRP...

That's funny as I tried REALLY HARD to get the Spiced RUM SESG for MSRP there.
No joy ... they danced around but wouldn't come off of $1500 over (freight and setup, then waive that but had to buy warranty, etc).

Odd that they would let the Ultra go for MSRP.

If you have an in there convince them to trade that Spice Rum SESG for a Concord at Brighton HD   :bananarock:

They will sell for MSRP + freight if you buy a warranty. The warranty with the tire and wheel protection is not a bad idea to have--especially if the thing starts leaking after the 2 years are up. Just my $.02

Agreed ... depending of course on what they charge for the warranty.
From my conversations ... they are gonna make-up the waiving of the setup in the warranty cost. They just make you feel like you are getting something more for the money. When I mentioned what I could buy the warranty for at other places, they were no longer interested in wainving freight and setup if I purchased the warranty for my price.

Drew;

I am a disabled veteran that has had 9 different knee surgeries ( 5 right, 4 left ). I had a replacement done May 22, 2007, that failed by July 1, 2007. At which time the doc did another one on me December 1, 2008 my choice on the time. Listen, do what you are told to do, and take it easy. Because you are having both done at the same time, recovery will be fast and generally the out come is good. Listen to your body when you get to the point were you can ride. Your body will tell you what you need to change on the bike to make it work for you! Just so you know, I am (was) a registered nurse. I had to change careers because of the surgeries, have always been different just my luck my body has been rode hard and put away wet for a long time. God Bless and Good luck!!!!!!!!!

Concord Blue SESG is on it's way to High Country HD in the Denver/Boulder area. Not yet spoken for.

Ask for Eloy. High Country is an MSRP dealer and does a great dyno tune. They treated me right when I traded my '02 FLHRSEI for my new Spiced Rum SESG.
