Great subject! I actually make my own bourbon. 80 proof  pure corn whiskey from the great state of Tennesee and a 2 gallon med char oak barrel from 1000 barrels. Let 'er age no less than than 2 years and I can't keep my garage friends out of it!

I try to keep a few quarts of the shine around at all times also. Pure sippin' pleasure.

What about Crown Royal? That's my favorite.
Not a bourbon, but a good Canadian Whiskey.  The Crown reserve is very good, Crown Cask is excelent as is Crown XR.

Gentleman Jack Daniels, or nothing at all, well maybe Apple Pie :drink:
I do not like Jack Black, if I am going to drink TN whiskey it has to be Gentalman Jack or the Gold Medalion Jack.

Apple Pie shine is very good.  I also had some Mango shine that was great, except it goes down way to easy.

Here are some of the Bourbons I really enjoy

Eagle Rare, 17 year old             Buffalo trace Distillery    Very Favorite
Eagle Rare, 12 year old             Buffalo trace Distillery
Bulleit Bourbon                        Buffalo trace Distillery

Bookers                                  Jim beam Distillery
Baker's                                   Jim beam Distillery
Knob Creek                             Jim beam Distillery
Jim beam Black label                 Jim beam Distillery    always a bottle at my house

Ridgemont Reserve 1792           Barton brands Distillery

Corner Creek Reserve                Kentucky Bourbon Distillers LTD
Rowan's Creek                         Kentucky Bourbon Distillers LTD
Noah's Mill                              Kentucky Bourbon Distillers LTD

Rare Breed                              Wid Turkey Distillery
Russell's Reserve                      Wid Turkey Distillery
Kentucky Spirit                        Wid Turkey Distillery
1855 Reserve                          Wid Turkey Distillery

Woodford Reserve                    Brown-Forman Distillery

Makers Mark                           Makers Mark Distillery   Always a bottle at my house

There are only 14 distillers of Bourbon  All are in KY except Smith Bowman, in VA

I'll drink any bourbon that comes from the Isle of Islay... oh wait, I mean I'll drink any single malt, er, uh, oops, nevermind, better put the Lagavulin away.

ähm, what are you talking about - whisky is made in Scotland only. For travel use it should be cask strength. On my bike we use Glenfarclas 105 60%. Only.

Jackie & co is for cheap bars ...

That is a little harder to find in these parts.  However in Scotland I have had some very good Scotch.  I may end up in Norway for a month next year work related.  A good chance to pick up some more fine beverages

I've got a bottle, well, part of a bottle, couple of shots actually, of that in the cabinet. Good stuff is right. Holidays, Birthdays, Saturdays, Mondays... any day.  :drink:
