...all thats left for a complete 01 is the original indoor dust cover with bag. It looks like this and sometimes you have to jog the previous owners memory to find it.   Doc

Thanks for the info.

I have the indoor cover , but didn't get a passenger backrest.  Was that part of the package?  I guess if it is I need it.

Any suggestions for a lower profile seat for when the TP is not used?  I think I am going to put the recessed headlights like the 2009 SERG.  Anyone have a part # on that? Will it work?  Probably go with a Dakota Digital antenna. Rig up my Ipod.  Fitted bag liners.  Has anyone removed the CD changer?  I think I would prefer to have the extra space in the TP.  Some sort of laydown tag bracket.  I guess that will get me started.

Any tips or suggestions would be great.

It came with a passenger back rest and fitted bag liners. The 00 and 01's were very complete bikes. Make sure you keep all the stock stuff, but if you choose not to let this site have first crack at what you don't want. :2vrolijk_21:  Doc

Run some Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner through it - will help with that rough running.  You can add the bezel to make it look like the 2009 - just remove the clear headlight cover it currently has (easier said than done) and the 2009 bezel snaps in the same way as the clear cover did.  Cost about $45 from what I recall - I added it to my 2000.  ENJOY!

Thanks for the insight doc.  I still have 4 children living at home, so probably will not be going long enough at one time to need the trailer.  It looks great though.

Call the previous owner, he said he gave his buddy the saddle bag liners and he claims he never got the passenger backrest.

Did the bike come with fitted liners or removable liner luggage?  I have a set of the removable liner luggage.  Did they make the luggage for the chop TP?  Also, found the passenger backrest pad at a dealer in NH and ordered it.  The part is obsolete now so, that was some luck.  Which upright do I need?  Also, I noticed twolane was using the newer version of the TP detachable rack.  Any modification to change to that?  Also found the headlight piece ( to make it look like an 09) on ebay.  What else.  Any suggestions on pipes?  Would love to retain the look of the fishtails, but I do need to open the motor up and get some better sound.

Thanks,

Sting
