  just wondering! thought about updating from the 08 flhtcuse3 to flhtcuse4. would it be worth the trade for the new frame. i have never ridden the flhtcuse4. what do some of u guys who have ridden both think. Big difference or not! I like the 08 but if  the feel and ride and handling are better i would like to have flhtcuse4. I just want some feedback from riders who have ridden both! thanks in advance for the replies. if anyone can make comments on the 2010 i would appreciate the input. I really want to justify giving moco all this money!!!

After 17,000 miles on my 08 and numerous problems the MOCO took it back and gave me full credit towards an 09.
I have 4000 miles on the 09 and absolutely love it, handles much better, bike feels more solid at high speed. A no brainer in my case, big plus so far no leaks or peeling powdercoat.

I did some 600 m on a 08 FLHRC and liked it very much, compared to my 05 FLHRCI. But now I'm extremely happy I decided to wait. The 09 frame is definitely a milestone. I would have preferred to wait until '10 - built after May 2010 - but as my old scoot broke I had no choice 

So far after 3.000 m I'm extremely happy with the FLHTCUSE4. But still - if I'd had the choice I would have gone for a '10 bike ...

Last year I did about 2000mls on the 08 frames (CUSE3 and FLHTCUI). This year about 4000mls on my CUSE4. Its a very big difference. The bike is much better to drive. On the german autobahn i now can go over 110 mph. While doing this i didn`t feel very safe on the 08frames. But also with
lower speed the handling of the 09 frames is much better.
Never thought about buying a `10 model, because Silver  is the fastest

I have the same story to tell (albeit less miles on the '08 and more miles on the '09), and he is absolutely right. The new frame is the single biggest improvement on these bikes.

So in regards to the frame difference, has anyone ridden an older frame with a setup like a True Trac stabilizer and compare it to a the new frame set up. Just wondering when the time comes if it is worth just installing such a system and keeping the ride I have or look at a newer on.

I have used Tru-Track and it helps a little bit. In no way does it stabilize the old frames to the extend the new frame is more rigid and better constructed. Plus you get the different routing of the exhaust pipes, plus more ground clearance.

Rear steer on my 07 decreased with a stabilizer, I used ride-str-8, similar product.

My 09, different animal.....I'd get one..

I had true-track on my 05-bike.  I must confess after the experiences I had on the older frames (02 and 05) I'm still (after 4.500 km!) hesitant to ride the 09 like a BMW on Autobahn. But collect more and more confidence 

But be carefull: there still is an issue with the air-filled shocks. Check them daily, some loose pressure and if that is the case, a 09 may wobble as you know it from the earlier frames ...

My 07 Seuc had true track etc,,

The 09 with new frame, tires, and new wheelbase is a huge improvement.  The combination is much more stable and easier to ride.  22,000 on the old frame 8800 on the new.

No regrets.

Wouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water just yet on the new frame! The new frame is heaver, two pieced and it is not tried and trued to date. The new frame came about because of the trike and nothing else. Further, the Moco touted the "08 frame as "new and improved" I have the Bagger Brace on my '08 and there is a big difference.
For my money, will wait for critical mass and word of the next big change.

Would be suprised if the new frame will have any issues.  Mine is much better and I had the True Track (which did help).  THe combo of new tires, new suspension dynamics and in general a much stronger frame.

I ride the 09 much harder on all kinds of roads with much better confidence.  The ABS is a great help.

I agree with RM 100%!

The new frames were an after thought due to the trikes and I'm not sold on them yet.  The MoCo has done a super job in selling the 2-piece frame and there are lots of owners who love them.  However, you should ask your dealer to take one for a ride and satisfy yourself on the ride difference.  I took an '09 out and really didn't feel that much of a difference... Nowhere near the difference that was felt between the '07's and '08's.

Touch wood, I have not experienced the problems others have with their '08's and I just love my ride!  Not too sure if I'll ever get a new bike again??? 

Do yourself a favor and try out the new frame on a good afternoon ride... I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

It's amazing but not unexpected.
All the people saying the 09 frames are "not all" that are those that own 08's or earlier.
No complaints from the 09 owners.
