OK, I'm getting the hang of it now.
No use putting on the Rineharts without a proper A/C.
Was going to get the Big Sucker but wound up ordering the Doherty A/C and their Mystfree set up.

Since I'm going to have the pipes and rocker boxes off I went ahead and ordered the Diamond Engineering 12 point stainless bolt kit. Didn't really think the head bolt covers matched, so picked up the Finned Head Bolt Bridge.
Realized the oil spout will be right there with the pipes off, so I picked up a chrome one, now the black oil cooler really looks out of place so got the chrome cover there also.
Started looking at the chrome starters but wife took away the plastic  :'(. Was able to squeeze out the chrome solenoid cover though.
Oh yea, almost forgot. Had to get a SERT so it can be tuned correctly and not waste any money due to poor mileage  ;D

Tom
you made a great choice on the Diamond SS fasteners, IMHO!  Gonna look great!  You'll figure out a way to get that chrome starter, it's almost a 'must-have'.  8-) har!  spyder

I'm a VRSCSE and FLSTC owner.  I live in No. VA and work for the Fed G'ovt in DC.  Been riding for about 35 years.  Have owned almost one of everything but the Vrod CVO is just about perfect for me...a very fast cruiser that looks as good as anything out there on two wheels!  Look forward to meeting you all on the boards!

twincam,
Welcome to the site. Only word of advice I can offer is keep a tight hold on your wallet as this place has a habit of informing you of some have to have accessory for your bike. ;D

OK, I've been lurking long enough!   :-?  It's time to participate.

I don't own a bike...I'm a passenger with TCnBham, and I am really enjoying the experience.  Everything that you guys say about riding a bike as opposed to being in a "cage" is so true.  The wind in my face, the sights, the smells (some of them not so pleasant such as the road kill, God rest their souls).  Such good therapy.

As a lurker, I did learn a lot reading about bikes and riding, and I certainly have had a lot of laughs.

Happy and safe trails to you all.

Welcome Harleydiva! Passenger or rider ... it's hard to explain the experience until you've done it.  ;)

Welcome harleydiva!
I saw the photos of you and TCnBham on your trip. It looked like you both had fun.
Riding a bike is a great experience.I'm glad you are enjoying it.
If you get the chance you may want to take a Learn to Ride type class, even if you never want to operate your own bike you will gain some good tips by taking the class.
Your are right lots of info and laughs can come from this site too.
I hope you have many happy and safe miles on the road. ;D

Thanks for your replies guys.  The pictures told it all ... we did have a great time, cherish the memories, and look forward to many more fun rides.
TC is a great driver, and I feel very safe.

Welcome Harleydiva!  What a great initiation as a HOG/CVO Associate Member!  Wait until you go to a big event, you'll be hooked for life!  BTW, Club HOG Wild West is June 30 to July 1 in Billings, Montana.  There's your chance to ride WEST!

I agree with VAEagle, the MSF class or Riders Edge is ESSENTIAL!!  If you get a chance, take one.  I know several of the dealerships in Alabama offer Riders Edge.  I checked the tri-state area when I signed up.

Have fun,
V.

HarleyDiva,
Welcome to the site. Saw the pictures and read the ride report from your adventure this past weekend. Looks like you all had an awesome time. Nothing beats sharing time in the wind with friends, good roads, and great sites along the way.

You're right V, it was a great initiation!  What a wonderful weekend.

I do plan to attend some classes, and thanks for the tip.
