Kury GPS Fuel Door - Installed Pics
« on: September 10, 2009, 06:53:16 AM »

Posting these up for TIF1.

His comments to me are that the mount is rock-solid, does not impede flipper door function, and is no more distracting to view than the speedo or radio is while in motion. You can get with him on the ultra-clean install for the wire-routing and hook-up, or for feed-back on real-world use. The mount is on cam-lock that can be adjusted for viewing angle via a thumb-screw, so it is adjustable for rider preference. I'm probably gonna put one of these on my SESG over the winter.

I bet those wires feed under the dash, plenty of room to go back towards the seat or forward towards the fairing.

Yeah ... couldn't find it easily so did a search on Kury site:

http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go/Home.ProductDetail/IMID/919

Note that there are 2 different units - P/N 1465 fits '92-'07 flipper models and P/N 1466 fits '08/'09 flipper models. Not sure if there are changes to the flipper for '10 but I doubt it so 1466 should fit.

Phat Performance has it $94.

Why is this different than any other location? Won't you see the base no matter where you install it?
I'm still looking at oprions and would appreciate what other solutions you have for not leaving the units mounted up.
