Let's face it. We're all saving where we can, so we have more to spend on other stuff, like a new Baker OD6 and 3.37 primary gearing.

This week I replenished my Amsoil supply. This time I elected to purchase a case of 4 gallons of Amsoil MCV. Shipped to my door, the total was $139.51, which comes out to $8.72 per quart. The last time I replenished was on 30 JAN 2009 with a case of 12 quarts shipped to my door for 109.66, which comes out to $9.14 per quart. I'm not sure if there has been a price increase since January, but 42 cents per quart adds up. It's cheaper by the gallon....and still cheaper (not to mention a much, much higher quality oil that comes to my door...no trip to the stealership) than SYN III either way. So hang on to a few empty Amsoil quart bottles. Pour off 16 oz out of one gallon into an empty Amsoil quart bottle, and dump the remaining 3.5 quarts into your oil pan on your next oil change. There you have it: A savings of $1.68 per engine oil change, and even more if you use the stuff in all three holes. Gallons ROCK!
