personally,  looks like he pulled to side of lane to stop for some reason.  put his feet down and DAMN, no pavement on the right side, and over they went.  seen this happen many times.

Maybe she fell asleep and as they entered the turn started to fall first causing the bike to lean over even more. You'd think they both would come off about the same time, she looks further down the road. Maybe he's trying to get away!
