Vanes & Hines Hi Output slip ons part#16457
« on: September 13, 2009, 06:25:45 PM »

Does anyone have these? I'm thinking about ordering and could use some input. I'm interested in the performance and sound. I had a set of Rinehart slip on mufflers on my old bike. I'm like a deep loader tone like Rineharts give you. I saw these and thought they looked nice?

Any feed back would be appreciated.

not out until mid October early November. I was going to order until I found out I had to wait that long. No videos or soundclips posted of these either. Guess if you really want them you will have to wait.

I am taking delivery on a FLHXSE in Dec upon my return from deployment.  I have placed my order in hopes of the rich deep sound and performance Vance and Hines in known for.  Got to be better than stock and they look great.

hdfr120, New it started with a C and guessed at Connie. Thanks for the correction. I still love them and the loud low rumble.

Slip-ons for 2010 will still suffer from the flow restriction caused by the catalytic convertor in the header. New complete replacement exhausts systems will be here soon. Alternatively, slip-ons after removing the cats will be cheaper. Seems to me that slip-ons and keeping the cat is minimizing benefit for money spent, other than appearance. Ton's of info here on tuning options.

And those tuning options are much limited for the 10 bike. Be sure to have a proven tested tuning plan before ripping the cat out and thinking this is an 07-09. This is a new animal and moving the lambdas up the line is not going to be the solution either. It will take some time to get the aftermarket to step up. I heard Fullsack has them mastered with hs pipes and cat removed.

Crunch, I have a set of Vance & Hines basic slip on's and I love the sound, they aren't too loud, I can still hear the radio, but they sound really good.  For what it's worth :2vrolijk_21:

Try this one: CFR Motorcycles . Still not a plethora of information or products but more than the first site. Seems CFR Motorcycles were initial focused on the V-Rod and have recently began the foray into the V-Twin world. I'm keeping my Fullsacs.

Has anyone installed the Vance and Hines power duals, pn 16769 with the high out-put slipon mufflers?  That's what I've been leaning towards.  To complete my build if thats what you want to call it, i'll add a race tuner and heavy breather air filter,  like the RG has and dyno.

By the way since when does winter start the first part of October..... Even for SouthDakota thats to early.
