National Geographic documentary on motorcycle crashes...
« on: September 16, 2009, 05:00:33 PM »

There is a special documentary focusing on motorcycle crashes on the National Geographic Channel. It will be airing this Thursday. I believe it is on at 7pm Central.

It appears as though it also airs at the following times/dates:
Thursday, September 17th, 2009 @ 11:00 pm
Sunday, September 20th, 2009 @ 1:00 am
Thursday, September 24th, 2009 @ 4:00 pm

For more info, here's a link to NatGeo's website:

I'll tivo that for sure. On the page your link goes to, just to the right of the video are some other "factory" type programs. One of them is Harley Davidson and the V-Rod line.....

Hey Bogman I've been through 2 (people pulling out in front of me a 16 yr old and an 80 yr old) life threatening accidents and you may want to check them out they not only cover the smashing but give some invaluable info on how to survive the "Superman affect" of mid-air flight and the tuck and roll. Being in this day and age of cell phones has doubled the risk factor for us on 2 wheels and we need every piece of info we can get.Sorry soapboxin it..

Sorry 6 months of rehab on the 16 yr old and 2 1/2 on the grandma has enlightened me ! I'll be tuned in thanks for the info BayouBiker appreciate it !!

It was ok imho but not great. The Brembo stuff was good but race clothing was so so. I know, I know - fire away.

Totally agree.  Basically a waste of an hour since they didn't actually say much.

Show was more of an infomercial for specific products.  Some ok race footage.  If Italy has a Chamber of Commerce, they funded this program, IMHO.  All Italian - bet the Germans are pissed.   ;D
